They lifted few things straight from Arthur Conan Doyle but still it was enjoyable until the entry of dead wife. The whole swamiji, ashram and conspiracy thing was hilarious.

Exactly. I thought it'll be something different cause it's this show but the eternal cliched storytelling just broke the whole rhythm. First 19 are GOLD.
