Performances that pleasantly surprised you this year?

What are the performances that surprised you this year? Like, you didn't see this coming from a specific actor and you were all blown away?

I would say Yami Gautam in Bala was a revelation. That girl can really act! Even Taapsee Pannu in Badla was damn good.

I heard Sonakshi Sinha was really good in Kalank as well, though I haven't watched the movie.

Yami gautam in baala was a big surprise.

Tiger in War. He wasn't extraordinary or anything but I'm not usually a big fan of his acting so his acting especially in the second half really impressed me.
