Predict best actress award for 2019(Filmfare) - Page 2

Rani is not going to win. Hichki was the best performance by an actress in many years (acc to me) but it was not given it's due.

Last year, Tabu (Andhadhun) and Alia (Raazi) were the 2 best performances. Rani (Hichki) was a very strong and flawless performance, but for me, she was 3rd place. That also has to do with their roles - Tabu/Alia's roles had more scope for performance.

This year, Alia (Gully Boy) stood out the most, along with Taapsee (Badla). I didn't see anything award-worthy in Vidya (Mission Mangal) although she deserves a nomination.

Unfortunately I haven't seen Priyanka's (The Sky Is Pink) performance yet. But I've heard the most amazing things about it - she will definitely get nominated. Kangana - I haven't seen JHK so can't judge but she had quite a buzz around Manikarnika. Will the award shows snub her again due to her ignorant persona like they did with her last film Simian, in which she was amazing.

Some other great performances I've seen this year: Anjali Patil (Mere Pyaare Prime Minister) and Rasika Duggal (Hamid). 2 smaller films which went by kind of unnoticed, I wonder if the jury's will place them in any category.

Tabu (De De Pyaar De) she was amazing in this mostly shabby film. To me, she was an equal lead, but will the place her in the Supporting categories because she's perhaps not the "heroine" or will they ignore this performance completely?

Rani in Mardaani was one of her best performances ever. I feel she deserved awards for it. And the Mardaani 2 trailer looks even better than the first one, so very interesting to see how it all turns out.

I know no one is gonna agree with me but what the hell I am gonna say it ...

I loved Kangana in JHK. I think it was really brave of her to play that character after the whole Hrithik fiasco. I read somewhere that she doesn't attend award shows so she is not gonna win it but I think she played the character to perfection. Say anything you want about her but she is a damn good actress.

Vidya was good but nothing extraordinary. Same for Tapsee.

And why the hell is Bollywood obsessed with Ekta Kapoor type twists ... that face mask in Badla and plastic surgery in War. WTF !
