I was invited for an award ceremony for Women’s Empowerment on 13th November where we had Smriti Irani and Daadi Chandro Tomar, Taekwando champ Kashish.
The panel discussions were many but the output was:

1. Women should not accept.
2. women should be unapologetic and shouldn’t sacrifice.
3. women can absolutely raise children alone and children from broken homes are not drug addicts.
4. Women should not only have financial independence but financial authority which includes making financial decisions.

Anyway, that was my problem with Bajju track too. She could have been shown an excellent mother but refusing to live on Bajju money insisting on working. Sorry, but she accepted and wore jewels and fancy clothes and and heart started beating for true love.

I would have cheered for her if she showed a stern defiance to Bajju in terms of her individual existence in this marriage!!!!

If she'd stepped up and asked for a divorce, I would still like her. But she accepted to be treated like a commodity from both sides, as if a prize to be won.
