Every person has a remarkable set of turmoils in real lives. People have been accepting domestic abuse, marital rape and everything else because women are supposed to be Patient, forgiving and adjusting.
I was invited for an award ceremony for Women’s Empowerment on 13th November where we had Smriti Irani and Daadi Chandro Tomar, Taekwando champ Kashish.
The panel discussions were many but the output was:1. Women should not accept.
2. women should be unapologetic and shouldn’t sacrifice.
3. women can absolutely raise children alone and children from broken homes are not drug addicts.
4. Women should not only have financial independence but financial authority which includes making financial decisions.
Anyway, that was my problem with Bajju track too. She could have been shown an excellent mother but refusing to live on Bajju money insisting on working. Sorry, but she accepted and wore jewels and fancy clothes and and heart started beating for true love.
I would have cheered for her if she showed a stern defiance to Bajju in terms of her individual existence in this marriage!!!!
If she'd stepped up and asked for a divorce, I would still like her. But she accepted to be treated like a commodity from both sides, as if a prize to be won.

baring a few that is KKB and YHM i have never found them working, recently i came to know Prerna1 worked, and was financially independent. But then none of the FLs ever had that feministic streak that they all should have had to be an example to the society. Which is why GK's Fls are Everyone's Favourite no matter what. See if you are even if you believe in equity than equality, forget being a feminist or an anti, it will reflect in your work and whatever you do. I don’t expect anything but EKta leads have been great strong women in terms of financial independence and careers and their defiance is exemplary. I am shocked to see such a bland and boring FL in this show!!!
