I have many friends at Uni who think that India is all about Bollywood and actors.

Its not the same in the West. Singers have their own platform, actors have their own platform and so on.

If an international director comes to India, KJo and gang and throwing a party, if an actor comes KJo and gang will throw a party, if singers or a band comes, KJo and gang throws a party...can't they leave some things for others?

If Katy or Ed Sheeran or Justin Bieber come to India, I'd rather see people from MCAI, ISRA, FWA (only lyricists), IPRS along with music label owners like Bhushan Kumar (T Series), Ramesh Taurani (Tips), Anurag Bedi (Zee Music Company) partying with such celebrities. Thats their domain. I'd love seeing the Mallik brothers along with their dad and uncle, Vishal-Shekhar, Pritam, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi, Shreya, Sameer, Himesh, Anand-Milind, Jatin-Lalit, Javed Akhtar throw them a party.

The problem is not with the usual gang of people...its that they are everywhere and want to do everything. They have become the face of India in a way and thats not cool.

I can party with whoever I want. No one is stopping singers or any other creatives in music field to hang around with anyone.

Don’t feel that I am attacking you I just don’t get it when people judge someone else’s lifestyle choices. I don’t like kjo but that’s how he is. If he is becoming the face of India which I think is really stupid, I should accept it. We cannot stop anyone if they want to do everything nor we can make people in music field to throw parties if they don’t want to. And I really feel javed Vishal shekhar, malik brothers have bigger international circle than kjo, we just don’t hear anything about them. Media(including us) only see what kjo is doing.

I am pretty sure KJo announces a party before anyone else can even think about it.

@bold: No I do not say that. I have friends from different field and thats how I like it. But that does not mean that anytime a popular face visits our country the same old group of people host a party.

It would be lovely for a change to have someone else host such a personality, instead of KJo and his group. Thats why I said the music fraternity hosting these parties would have been very interesting and tbh the better thing to happen.

I am sick of these same bunch of people trying to do everything and be in every field. Some celebrity becomes an RJ and is mediocre, they are taking away the opportunity from some truly talented RJs. The same applies to every field.

Agreed that we cannot make the music field throw a party, but the point is not what we can do, the point is that these same set of people want to be EVERYWHERE.
