Deepika's Mahabharat to Aamir's Laal Singh Chaddha: 5 big-budget films we are eagerly waiting for
There are some movies for which we are waiting with a bated breath. One of them is easily the Deepika Padukone-starrer Mahabharat, which is headed for a box-office clash with SLB's Baiju Bawra.
With their larger-than-life sets and epic tales, Bollywood filmmakers take us on a journey we have never experienced before. The magic of spectacular performances on the silver screen leaves a permanent mark on our mind and influences us in different ways. The world of cinema is truly magnificent. While every year, a lot of films are released, there are some for which we wait with a bated breath. One such movie is the Deepika Padukone-starrer Mahabharat.
A few days ago, it was announced that Deepika will be playing Draupadi in the epic film. Not just this, the actress will also be co-producing the period drama with Madhu Mantena. While the movie will be made in multiple parts, the first instalment will hit the screens on Diwali 2021.
Another movie for which we are eagerly waiting for will also release alongside Deepika's Mahabharat. And, it will be directed by none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Touted to be SLB's most ambitious project, Baiju Bawra will be the revenge story of a maverick maestro. Both Mahabharat and Baiju Bawra will be big-budget flicks.

Aamir Khan's much-awaited release, Laal Singh Chaddha is also on our list. Co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, the movie is the Hindi remake of Tom Hanks' Academy Award-winning 1994 film Forrest Gump. Aamir, who has undergone major physical transformation for his role, had announced the project on the occasion of his 54th birthday. Laal Singh Chaddha will be directed by Advait Chandan.
The fourth film for which we are eagerly waiting is Karan Johar's multi-starrer Takht. Featuring Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles, the period drama is set in the Mughal era. Takht will have Ranveer and Vicky playing Dara Shikoh and Aurangzeb, respectively. The prep of the movie began sometime back. Its release date has not been announced yet.
The last movie on our list today is the Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt-starrer Shamshera. Helmed by Karan Malhotra, the action-adventure film is apparently made on a budget of nearly Rs 165 crore. Back in May 2018, a teaser of the dacoit drama was released online and since then, it has created immense anticipation among the audience.
