I completely agree that he's just going to 'survive'. If he wanted to, he could have emotionally blackmailed Minnie into staying and methinks he may have even succeeded. But he won't because he loves her as his child. I once again remembered the scene where he was telling her how fathers want their daughters to do better than them. He knows that he can never give her that kind of life or opportunity with his modest income and that she deserves this chance.

I just got thinking and don't take this the wrong way... When HS was talking about the kaunse janam ki preet, bandhan, etc... They finally showed us what soulmate means.

They were kindred spirits. The fact that they were able to find each other at all is a miracle in and of itself. There's absolutely no denying that they touched each other's souls in an irrevocable way. No one else could have done this and no one else ever will.

Infact if she dosent do that its going to do more harm than good for her. Sometimes you need to get away but not so much that you completely loose touch. She has her grandparents, her friends, NB, HS. Babita se break ke liye she cannot forget all these relations. I hope CVs make the transition to season 2 more realistically than showing mini not coming back for whole 5 years

Well, the fact that she told her grandparents about going to Australia before she told HS, just says it all. Once upon a time, he would have been the first person she'd tell, especially when getting him to sign for address proof.

I think so too. Makes total sense. I hope she remembers his words in a positive way. I can't wait to watch this dream sequence now. I think it will be sensational. Plus the fact that I know AD went through so much trouble to get to Manali to shoot it.

Me too!

I can foresee a Veer Balika, Queen Victoria the most gorgeous girl in the world being thrown there. As well as him making a joke or two, making Minnie laugh and then hopefully imparting another last piece of wisdom onto her. Maybe to help ease the guilt she may feel about not being close to her parents in the past five years.

And you know, today's scene underlined all that with a permanent marker. She can go as far as she wants to, he can leave this world, but that connection will always remain. It doesn't need a tag or label, it's not mean to be explained, just felt.

In all the sadness they both have faced, they were the sunshine in each other's lives. I am glad Minnie found him and was influenced so much by him. She may not realize it but she is every bit his daughter. Likewise for HS - he too was influenced by her and is every bit her father.

And to think, these two found each other and bonded to this extent all within the span of less than one year.

Puri duniya badal gayi inki.

And this is what the director meant about namukammal pyaar. They had everything that parents and children would want to share but life and it's harshness got the better of them.

Yes, they have both made mistakes but not so big as to deserve being torn apart like this. Some people come into your life for a short period of time but change it forever. This is what happened to them.

You know what else I feel? If this had been a happy ending, we would have been over the moon about how things turned out, but the fact that it didn't only makes their arc more tragically beautiful, gives it an epic status. Do you know what I mean?

Quality, not quantity.... Yo baat phinal hai, chhori.

You're talking about them? Heck this bond changed our lives completely too. Don't know about you but I will never be the same again.

Also, the way the post leap promo played out, it seemed as if Minnie never came to visit in those 5 years. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been such heavy differences in terms of likes/dislikes or ownership between the two sisters.

Exactly CVs sending mini away for 5 years and not returning in between is only for added drama for season 2. They could have easily implied mini being in touch and coming and meeting them in between. They dint need to spoil 5 years of the trios life for season 2 extra drama.

I'm going to watch it but hope I don't get addicted to it like I did with PB. It might be hard because Shweta and Varun have been my long-time favorites. I admire their work so so much!

With HS mini it is more on an equal level. They are in tune with each other completely. And understand each other completely. They are also kind pulled towards each other.

I think this is why the father-daughter tag didn't work.

I was very upset when I realized that my dream of hearing her call him bapu/dad/papa would never be fulfilled but in today's scene I almost felt as if the CVs were responding to this yearning that many fans like me had by pointing out that they were even beyond that. What they share is so special that it can't be limited to being called just a father-daughter bond. It is well and truly above all that.
