We just make movies, but do not care to respect historical monuments, historical figures.

I had read the story of Tanaji (by Tilak) in our school textbook. Years later I went to see Sinhghad with so much expectation. But I was disappointed to see how people have maintained. Yes, natural beauty was breathtaking and it overpowered everything.

In UK, how majestically Nelson Column stands in Trafalgar Square. How fondly they remember their commander in chief. When I visited it, I remembered Sinhghad. (Tanaji was no less in Bravery).

May be, we Indians don't love history as much as movies. (Ironically for the members in our tourist group, the only significance of the fountains around Nelson column was, there was a scene in Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejaayenge which was shot at that place 😆).
