NUSHRAT BHARUCHA'S SONG DOESN'T MAKE THE FINAL CUT FOR MARJAAVAAN

Nushrat Bharucha's song doesn't make the final cut for Marjaavaan

The actress's special appearance will not feature in the Sidharth Malhotra-starrer upcoming action-romance but is expected to release as an independent single in the next few months

Mirror had earlier reported (June 28) that Sidharth Malhotra and Nushrat Bharucha are teaming up to shoot for a special dance number for Milap Zaveri’s romantic action drama, Marjaavaan. Titled “Peeyu Datke”, the track was shot at Vasai Fort and in a Mumbai studio. Inspired by a Rajasthani folk song, it is sung and composed by Honey Singh. “It’s a party track with a desi vibe but also an underground feel which makes for an interesting contrast,” Nushrat had told Mirror. Now, we have learnt that the song is no longer a part of the film.

According to a source close to the development, Milap and his creative team felt that the song hampered the pace and decided to edit it out. The decision was taken after several meetings with producers Bhushan Kumar and Nikkhil Advani, along with Nushrat, Sidharth and Milap. “Nushrat had no issues, she understood the intent,” the source shared, adding that given the effort and the money that has gone into it, the song should be released as an independent single after a few months.

While this dance number did not make the cut, the makers have retained another special number, a recreation of Jaanbaaz chartbuster “Pyaar Do Pyaar Lo”, featuring Nora Fatehi.

She isn't good anyway. When you have Tara, Rakul, Nora, no need of Nushrat.

When I think song and dance number Nushrat’s name doesn’t really pop into my head. The romantic tracks are big hits so the soundtrack won’t miss anything.

Never ever heard of that Aloo item song... aur woh bhi being shot. Self importance badhane ke liye Aloo ke PR ne afvah phailaya hoga shayad.

Of course, they went for Fatehi's moves. The more important question is how Sidharth is still getting all those lead roles? 😆

the rumor was that they were going to use the song to hype up the 2nd week of Zero but Zero failed and they never released it.
