I view Prerna as a fiercely independent woman. She had her own drawbacks and wasn’t perfect but that’s where her strength rested. She was unconventional and not someone who would subscribe to the norm. When she loved,she loved with all her might and never backed down.

She was hypocritical on so many occasions and I despised her a lot in the 2004 track and felt no mercy despite RB’s pitiless behaviour. I get sadist delight when I behold Mr Bajaj removing that engagement ring and breaking their relationship.

Prerna had the courage to walk out of relationships when herself-esteem was hurt. Though I always felt that she was more lenient towards Mr Bajaj. Imagine A laughing sarcastically and mocking her in the family friend scene.*VIOLENCE IN FORM OF SLAPS*

But then it was understandable and justified. RB had earned it for himself.

One more remarkable thing would be her ability to forgive,and the fact that she harboured no malice against anyone. Her courage is also remarkable as she had been through a lot but that didn’t deter her determination. She could risk her most intimate relationships for the right thing.

Friedrich Nietzsche, the German philosopher, famously said: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." I think it suits Prerna’s character.

When Prerna moved on with RB, she dared to love for the second time with a greater might and never regretted it. Though most of us despise the last leap, some of its scenes depict the depth of her love for RB.
