Yeahh, but the kurtas and his uniform never really showed him off. It was all pretty much hidden which makes sense since HS wasn't that kind of character in the first place.

If we watch the initial episodes, she looked super young there, more like her actual age than 17 but it was still believable because there was still a lot of immaturity in the character. During the shaadi track don't know what happened but everything just became a bit too much.
