Sharmila Tagore and Nargis wore swim suits at their times.

May be Samita Patel also wore in one of her movies with child actress Khushboo, don't quite remember.

Deepti Naval has always been a very simple actress with no western flavors.

honestly its not the outfit but the way it was shown............ some of the scenes were really in bad taste..... more vulgar then sexy..... and Sridevi wasn't someone with a spine to refuse such things, that's why it was sad......

Till before 1982 most Bolly films were made targetting Mumbai/Delhi crowd. With vcr/vcd explosion in both cities theatre crowd started dwindling there. Then himmatwala's blockbuster status in hindi heartland & Mysore area started the trend of films made appeasing lower middle class/poor audience .

They pretend to be such intellectuals and then talk so badly about an entire industry.

What's with the 'these South Indian actresses'. Disgusting! And sure, feel free to talk abt others upbringing. Just shows yours! So vicious. I thought actors made controversial statements now, but reading these statements, m shocked.

And she says 'Sri is a good friend', then go talk to her. Why are you talking to the media 'about' her? If someone has had a bad life, pull them down in public. REAL SENSITIVE!

Ikr. This is poor excuse. No one is maligning Sridevi's image.

Her life wasn't a fairytale. Her death was shady. People want to know the truth. But people always give excuse how people shouldn't discuss a dead person. Why? Dead people are celebrated all the time. I am curious about Sridevi and want to know about her life and struggle. This doesn't make me uncomfortable honestly. There's so much inconsistency. I am curious too like many others to know the truth. She is a legend and will always be. This won't change anything.

Whatever Smita and Deepti!

Sridevi never looked vulgar even her suggestive songs with Jeetendra. She already had critical acclaim and multiple best actress awards in South before prancing in Bolly.

They were just jealous that besides acting, they could look glamorous too.

Smita and Sridevi did Nazraana together and she spoke highly of the latter.
