I was literally rofling 🤣 on Rashmi common sense when she was questioning Asim .

Sid : started talking on behalf of Asim

Rashmi : Aap nhi bol sakte beech me

Sid and Asim : but ye waqeel hai Mera ye hi to bolega client ke behalf pe

Rashmi : aap nhi bol sakte 🤔

Seriously?? What is job of a lawyer .. he speaks on behalf of client ab agar defence lawyer seedhe accused se q Kare to bhala wo khud hi na lad le apna case 😆

Bahuo ka common sense se door door Tak koi naata nhi hai... 🤪

When someone is being questioned aka the defendant his lawyer can not speak they can only object to any question in the cross examination by opposing lawyer so she’s right Sid cannot answer on Asim’s behalf.

Anyway this is BB it’s a fish market they all are always screaming.

Technically, she was right I think. Haven't seen the episode. But when a person is in the witness stand, only a lawyer can question and the person has to answer. Defending Lawyer can't answer on behalf of the client.

The opposite (defending) lawyer can then cross question and invalidate the point the prosecuting lawyer was trying to make. 😆

Don't know much about it. But have watched far toooo many crime+legal procedural movies. I could be wrong.

Erm - it was a mock court. In any court worth it’s salt, the person standing in the witness stand answers the question when the question is posed to them. Their lawyer can object to a line of questioning and state the objection - but they do not answer the question. They’d be asked to shut the hell up and warned if they even tried.

So yeah - it is common sense to anyone who has any concept of how a trial actually works. And I’m pretty sure Shukla and Asim will have seen such scenes in films at least. Shukla’s rumoured akal clearly went for a toss when he stated that he’ll answer the question on his client’s behalf when his client was being questioned in the witness box.
