I have been obsessed with this show. I prefer the show to the novel even though I am always biased towards the books. Just I felt the flow was better.

I liked how they loop back every arc.

omg u so fast... I havent finished the novel...novel gives nice intro to all characters..but yes I love how the story unfolds in drama version as there is certain vagueness which creates curiosity. Since they showed flashback in one go... flow was indeed better.

You can discuss spoilers now coz all of us in this thread have watched the show.

I wanted both LAN and Wei’s parental background.

I loved NHS too, the gamer of this show. I love how they build it up and also appreciate how Wei reciprocated to his gameplay.

I am so glad they kept the poignancy of LAN and Wei equation.

they do show parental background for lan wangji in detail...and for xiao zhan they mention it couple of times..

WOW!!! I'm so happy to see Asian Drama threads in IF.

It's been long since I have signed in my account in IF as I was not into any Indian drama series. And this thread caught my notice as I have watched The Untamed, since it started from the first day. The story and the acting of the lead characters made me curious to know the original story. Which in turn, made me read the whole novel in approx. 1 and a half day.

Although I loved the drama series but I think the horror or rather the brutal aspect of the novel was tamed down(which is understandable). I absolutely loved the performance of Mr. Xiao Zhan & Mr. Wang Yibo, and ofcourse all the cast members though sometimes I found the performance of Mr. Qi Peixin, Mr. Zhu Zanjin and Mr. Wang Zhuocheng as quite melodramatic. Fantastic sets, ambiance and the meaningful music. No wonder the drama series became such a hit!

A few scenes were cringe worthy for me where CG wasn't used; like - the part when Wei Wuxian was imprisoned by Wen Chao in the dungeon with a dog, etc.

In all a very memorable and entertaining drama.

I finally picked up The Untamed.....after all the "harassment" from y'all

5) How did you came to know about this show ? - It's a longggg story. One of my IF friends asked me to watch this show a few weeks ago, I said nope. Another started harassing, I was like nope. They started doing it together, I said- 'okay fine when I'm in the mood'. Then it came on Netflix and suddenly I got the feeling to eff it and just binge this fantasy. So, I clicked on the Netflix screen. Now, here I am, trying to study and not watch the rest of the episodes.......☺️
