NO ONE can play HS like Aniruddh. It will just come as a very cheap imitation. Someone else could maybe play Babita, but they won't be able to get all the subtle nuances Paridhi put in her. But HS? No way. Aniruddh gave life to the character and made it his own. If by chance, they do get someone, the actor better be ready for all the backlash that will surely come his way.

I don't know what I had expected to be honest, but Minnie's exit on what can only be on a bitter note, is just awful. You're going away to a foreign place and are going to be completely alone. Do you really wanna go having no emotional support behind you? Mickey and Preet don't even count cuz no matter how much they try, they can NEVER substitute for HS or Babes.

This whole thing is awful.

I don't know... Ever since she went on that "I will survive mode" I found it to be ominous. She doesn't want ties, she doesn't want emotional connections anymore after this, I think. In a way, she will have done what Ashok did, isolate herself by pushing everyone away.

I don't know if Mickey and Preet will remain friends with her or if they will have the same influence on her 5 years later, but for now, no matter how independent she is, leaving your parents/turning away from them, no matter how bad the situation, is always a tough thing to do. So she will have to toughen up even more and I hope this doesn't make her bitter.

I don't know what kind of maha kalesh we will see but just the thought of her leaving Hanita alone is ... They are going to be so hurt. I don't even dare to hope that she'll go on a positive or at least neutral note.

Let's see if the writers can surprise us, 'cause right now there's this feeling of impending doom.

I was also ambivalent about it since I was kind of keeping the family together as well. But under normal circumstances you do know that even if you fail, your family is there for you and you cannot fall too deep. And for Hanita the question is, if Minnie ever failed, would she come back as their child to be comforted and start again? The answer I anticipate is kind of disturbing.

Would Minnie ever come back to them? That depends on what she learns from life, how she reevaluates family. I would have loved to see her come back to them (failure or success notwithstanding), having matured and making them proud of her achievements. She deserves to have beaming parents and they deserve to beam. However, the writers seem to want to make this a really tragic "I turn my back on my family and never look back" type of story, so who knows?

LOL!

This is a "realistic" show, remember? Last I checked she wasn't trying to be Tom Cruise.

As the news for the leap indicates, she'll be coming back after five years, not one. So she'll be at the age of looking for a job rather than furthering her studies. Although, if she wants to, she could.

As for where exactly she goes, depends on how she ends things off with Hanita. If it's amicable (which I doubt), then it'll be back to Patiala. If not, then maybe Delhi, Mumbai or wherever else she's able to find a job or there's a lot of scope for jobs in photography.

If she does end up going to Patiala, then I don't know how they can show her being in the same city but not visiting her mother. If she does leave on bad terms, reconciling with her, will have to be a part of her journey in the second season. Otherwise, what was the point of everything that happened in all these episodes?

@bold... this is the thing that I find very strange. What on earth can it mean for her to live away for so long? Fine, she doesn't give a damn about HS (who, by the way is one of the main reasons she could free her mind up to go after her dreams) but what about Babita? Her mother, her once best friend? Would she not think of her or miss her one bit? Or would the news of the baby make her want to cut herself off from Hanita and her unborn sibling forever?

If she does come back after 5 years, I would expect Hanita would already have a child (or 2).

I don't know if this PH would be so callous as to get another actor to play HS, would they? There is no way they can retain that essence and draw that Aniruddh brought in. Also, even if they show a 5 year older HS who is full on a joru ka ghulam, no one can do that like Aniruddh could. 😆

After all the heartbreak and emotional turmoil she's been through in the past one year, I can understand where she's coming from. But in the long run, this isn't going to be healthy for her.

When she was talking to Babita on Friday about still retaining her identity despite being married, there was a "high maintenance" vibe. Almost as if everything in that marriage will have to be dictated, controlled and accepted by her. If not, then there's no room for that person in her life.

For some reason, I'm thinking it might go the Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani route. In it, Bunny too had an immense wander lust and had immersed himself so deeply into his work that he had missed out on his own father's funeral. Idk what the future holds for Hanita, but I can see Minnie being in this constant crave of wanting more from the world and yet failing to keep hold of the connections that truly matter.

The point of return comes surely if she has left with bad feelings. She will have to deal with stuff if she has run away.
