Mini just looks selfish right now to be honest... as much as the makers wanna show a progressive Mini and what not, she is just looking selfish.
Thats what both HS and Babita want.. to lead a happy simple life with each other. Hope they get their happy ending.
They are together. Whatever happens, they know they have one another's love. In all this farce the writers are coming up with, they forget the fact that ultimately it's your happiness that counts. No one else can dictate how you get it or maintain it.
If Babita or Minnie follow each other's "rules" of happiness then it means they haven't learned anything this past year. I think we always knew that Minnie would go abroad one day, but it's just that we didn't think it would be for such negative reasons. I mean, I don't see why she can't come to an understanding with them and leave of happy terms, but maybe the writers want more angst.
Also, all said and done, Minnie has always wanted a happy little family. She still craves for them to be a unit but I think all the events of the past year has left a negative impact on her that is overpowering her capacity to love. A little bit of distance will do her good.
It would be a shame for her to break ties with HS, who I know in time would be the best father ever if he's given the time and the chance. However, Minnie doesn't know what a father is like or what she would want in one, and I don't think the CVs want to go in that direction. She will crave for that person in her life and always have this void, which will make her a junior HS by default, ironically.
More than that though, it would be a shame if she walked out of her mother's life after seeing her settled in with her new husband. It would make it seem as if Babita was indeed just a project she wanted to hand over to a responsible person, i.e. HS. What of the parent-child bond? Is Babita such a horrible mother that she deserves to be deserted by her child? NO WAY!
If Minne leaves with anger or with bitterness then it means she will break her parents' hearts (yes I will call HS that) as well as her own, and this time round it will be Minnie who ruins her own project. There will always be this yearning that she can't come to terms or get over but her decision to throw aside all of this for the sake of taking flight will not give her a sense of fulfillment.
She will end up like the very kite that NB had warned against: one that soars in the sky but does so aimlessly since the string is broken.
