I saw the interview of Karthik Subburaj , the guy who directed Petta. So you all might be knowing that he himself is a big fan of Rajni and his movie is somewhat a depiction of what Rajni movie would be if it was depicted by Rajni fan

So being a Rajni fan, he has noticed him so closely.

Like for example there is a constant criticism that his acting scope has gone down after he started doing super star movies

In response to that he said that even in his superstar movies, whenever there are scenes that are very dee,he has scored well

For example this scene in Thalapathy where he gets to know that his mother exists and it's Sri Vidhya, his slow change of reaction from disbelief to eagerness is noteworthy

Like wise, in Kabali this scene where he gets to me Kumudhavalli after 25 years , the build up to that scene is also example of his performance

for me petta is the biggest disappointment of this year ,especially with the too much hype they had created before its release .

Like I was Rajni fan when I was a kid (and still somewhat his fan) and used to think Baasha movie as a big deal. But these days if I watch Baasha , its more for Raghuvaran acting than for Rajni

So things changes and Joker movie quote than solluven:

"As kids we loved the heroes... as adults we understand the villains"

This is so true ...ve come across this quote often ...had no idea it's from Joker movie ...thanks for d info :D

Yes...he is good in emotional scenes also...in thalabathy he had good acting chance and he did full justice in that movie .

Rajini is good in comedy also... Thambikku endha ooru, guru shishyan, , and thillu mullu are some of his movies with more comedy...

At present he is caught in a situation where he could nt come out of his super star image n do some character roles apt for his age...

Aprom mostly TV la Papen movie ....Pettai , 2.0 mattum theatre la pathen ...TBH I liked Pettai in all his recent movies ..old movie Muthu, Baadsha,Arunachalam, padaiyappa la pudikum ...😎

I enjoyed it as an entertainer, dint go into story aspects laam. However, I wished Nawazuddin Sidiqui had been given a better role than what was given.

It looked like as it was cakewalk for Rajni and villain character wasnt strong enough, especially because Nawauddin Sidiqui had done so many character roles, he wasnt given his due
