I saw the interview of Karthik Subburaj , the guy who directed Petta. So you all might be knowing that he himself is a big fan of Rajni and his movie is somewhat a depiction of what Rajni movie would be if it was directed by a Rajni fan
So being a Rajni fan, he has noticed him so closely.
Like for example there is a constant criticism that his acting scope has gone down after he started doing super star movies
In response to that he said that even in his superstar movies, whenever there are scenes that are very deep,he has scored well
For example this scene in Thalapathy where he gets to know that his mother exists and it's Sri Vidhya, his slow change of reaction from disbelief to eagerness is noteworthy
Like wise, in Kabali this scene where he gets to meet Kumudhavalli after 25 years , the build up to that scene is also example of his performance
