I learned from 3 idiots that there is a particular type of pen they must use to write in space and pencil is not used as it is hazardous.
I'm not fully Indian, wasn't born and never grew up in India so I never knew that the national sport of India is hockey until Chak De India. Always thought it was cricket.
I learned a bit about freedom fighters like Bharat Singh and Azad from Rang De Basanti. Again, I never grew up in India so don't know much of the history.
I learned alot about the Hindu traditions from movies because I'm not Hindu. For example, I never knew that in that in old West Bengal traditions, they bring clay from cortesans (brothel) to make the Durga statue for Navratri. (Devdas).

Well, hockey isn't the national sport of India either. India has no national sport.

I find these movies off top of head having potential for a short yt parody - Tirangaa , Tere Naam , Krishh edit - Int. Khiladi , Jaani Dushman...
While I , like most of people , love movies of my nostalgic times even if they are pure farcical crap but these ones still make me hit next...
