I agree. But sometimes it’s deeper and complicated than just refusing to do seva. Some people are made up the way that they can’t deny not doing for oldies. Thodi aschhai bhi hoti hai logo mein. I don’t know. I can’t really blame someone for tolerating oldies. Ek to aschha kiya and top it all we blame them. Kinda victim blaming.

Exactly. And sometimes... you just can't? How are you gonna refuse your in laws and their relatives? In an ideal scenario you cannot.

Totally. That’s us and our generation. But what about our Moms who didn’t know any better then they started and were always told by their elders to give preference to your in-laws? Hamara toh we can be like Mini. Hell I am like Mini. But what about Mom? If she starts back answering after 35 years of staying mum, you know how that’s gonna end? Oldies hardly accept that they are wrong. Plus it’s not easy for Moms to change their basic nature after them being nice and timid all their life.
