21st Oct : Dhanno Dulhaniya leh Jayega ??

While last week had moments of pure frustration there were also genuinely funny ones ( Chudail Karvachaut ) Regardless this week's plot should pick up pace. The question remains Kya Dhanno apni Dulhaniya le jayaega ? Or will Ansh like the hero of countless serials before burst in at the mandap to rescue his bride at the last second ? Will Naman's mythical saas make her entry today ? Finally will this dumb track end today ? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Monday's Summary : Dhanno Ki Dulhaniya

Piya looks for Ansh in the house while Ansh confronts Dev over his duplicity. Outraged as a husband he throws Dev over the sofa & after that grabs hold of his neck. But Dev gets the upper hand, using his Daivik powers he weakens an already weakened Ansh further. Ansh faints, Dev moves into kill him but is stopped in time by his companion. Right he needs Ansh to pressurise Piya !

Meanwhile Ni who is starting to get suspicious of Dev shares his concerns with Guruji. Guruji doesn’t think a Daivik can do any wrong but Ni is not convinced this time. He believes Rathods have been hypnotised by Dev. Even if it is to save Ansh they would have looked for another way rather than marry their daughter-in-law off. That means Dev acquired KS powers as well. They decide to research on finding a way to beat Dev.

In R mansion Piya notifies Rathods about Ansh missing. They are about to go search for him when Dev carries an unconscious Ansh with him. He starts emotionally blackmailing Piya & Rathods follow suit. ( Gawd I hate this part 🤢 ). Left with no choice Piya gives in. In the background Ansh tries to move his hand towards the phone but Dev confiscates it. In their room Piya cries seeing Ansh’s condition. Ansh wills himself to wake up to save his wife. Using all his strength he whispers phone.. In the flashback we see he recorded Dev discussing his eevil plan on his phone ( Smart move ). That same phone which Dev tosses over the balcony ( Oh no 😬) Game Over !

Just as Piya enquires about the phone she is interrupted by Rathods who inform her she needs to get ready asap the mandap has been set up. Piya is alarmed by the suddenness of it all but like a parrot 🦜 they repeat if Dev said... They take her to another room to get ready. Quietly she phones Ni to convince him one last time about Dev. She finds the Rathods behaviour highly suspicious Ni agrees. We see that Ni & G have been unsuccessfully trying to find info about Daiviks in the books about KS’s.

They don’t have anything on Dev yet. Till they find a way to defeat Dev he instructs Piya to pretend. She needs to protect Rathods from Dev. ( 😤 I disagree Piya save yourself first ) He promises to find a way before she is made to marry. Ni and G discuss their options. Guruji doesn’t know how they will defeat a Daivik. There is no known weapon or enemy to defeat one. Eureka ! It seems Ni gets an inspiration from G’s last words No weapon or Enemy.. Hmm 🤔

Piya is now ready as a bride. Riad having heard of Piya’s marriage go to inquire from her. They assure their mom that all 3 combining their powers can drive bad uncle out. ( Is what I’m saying..) Piya explains to them that while they have powers Rathods don’t. Till she finds a weakness of Dev’s she’s pretending to agree. Extracting a promise from them to not do anything till she says so she sends them off. ( Ni I wan’t to kill you 😡)

Elsewhere Naman’s saasu ma finally makes her appearance. LoL everyone Hi hi hi’s. Mom’s unhappy that Naman brought such a chiti 🐜 size offering for all 3 to eat. Naman agrees he promises to exchange Saavi for a XXL or a XXL size. 😆 Saavi looking offended is ready to kill mom with the panch nak baan she’s hiding behind her back. Only Naman keeps preventing her from taking it out. Dil stupidly assures mom she can snack on Saavi since they are already full with Imli Kababs. Mom agrees.

Saavi by this time has had enough she takes out her fork ?? to kill mom. Naman exchanged it secretly to prevent Saavi from killing Mom. He confesses to mom Saavi’s is actually a Chudail. Huh ? 😲 He was chasing a Rivavanshi for offering but he escaped & he caught Saavi by accident. He promises mom that he will exchange Saavi for a double sized human. Mom tho wants to know why all 3 aren’t flying in air like her. Uh oh Now what !

The End

Precap : It’s time to get married. Piya Dev & Rathods are at the mandap. Ansh & Ni are nowhere in sight. Dhanno takes out the managalsutra. He urges Piya to quit stalling for time & proceed with the marriage. Piya doesn’t know what to do.

My Thoughts

Where do i begin...🤔 Ah yes two guys chasing after a girl trope. This is ultimately every fan girl’s fantasy. The male lead shows signs of possessive jealousy, he goes all swoony on us. We all lap up such tracks. Had this been shown in an American show the girl would have been flattered, would have either flirted back or friend zoned him. In case he was being too forceful she being the confident woman that she was would have told her boyfriend to step back. She would handle it and really she would show the guy his place.

Come to South Asian shows the second lead would be kind considerate. An appealing alternative to the male lead. He’d woo the heroine. Male lead would get adorably jealous to stake his claim he’d kiss the heroine or hand grab her or really go all out to pursue her. Very very romantic 💕

Come to Indian shows what do we have here. Goons eve tease a girl & the lead heroically charges to the rescue. He dhisoom dhishooms ! The heroine falls in love with him. So very romantic no ? Except i’d argue the trauma is real no amount of romance could cover that. Copying that same mentality makers decided to incorporate that into the current track. We have a girl feeling unsafe in her own home. The guy makes a sexual threat. Rather than understanding her concern she is systematically being isolated first by her husband then family then father except for her kids. Bless them ! Until she’s left to fend for herself & protect her family at the same time.

There could have been a thousand ways to show this track. We could have shown Ansh directly dealing with Dev rather than being unconscious whole of last week. We could have shown Ni trusting his daughter. Thats twice he’s let his daughter down as a father. He may have caught on to Dev today but he still failed Piya. Last week if had understood why his daughter was feeling uncomfortable he would caught on. Today too he he thought like a Rivavanshi than a father.

You may ask why am I making a big deal out of this ? Simple this is the 21st Century yaar. It’s high time they reinvent the romantic wheel. I don’t see this track as romantic. I find their notions archaic misogynistic even. Their concepts are stale , tired...Apart from that i found this whole track yawn worthy 🥱. After tomorrow i look forward to a new track.

That’s enough about me i want to hear your views on the current track.

Oh & Dilman scene were funny 😆 today. Today’s episode felt like a filler tommorow’s should be action packed !

Okay, so a filler episode to set the background.

I won't say this track is romantic but yes, there were good amount of PiyAnsh scenes and I am quite pleased with Ansh too. In the sense that, even if he couldn't find anything wrong with Dev, he did try to see from Piya's POV and wanted to ensure her safety but unfortunately everyone was hypnotized and he got injured badly.

The highlight of this track has been the clarity of PiyAnsh in their stands. I think that's the only good outcome of the leap so far.

Piya was strong in her own way but she used to bow down in front of family pressure. 6 years away from them and now she is a more confident and certain in her beliefs. Even today she said - I know nothing is wrong with us & I am glad that she agreed to get married in front of the family only to stall them even before talking with Nishant.

Ansh's faith in Piya is the second best thing about this track. Personally I don't believe that love can assuage all of your fears. The more you love someone, the greater becomes the fear of losing them. But you just learn to fight your insecurity with the help of your loved ones. When another Daivik came between them and thanks to Ansh's 0 self-esteem, I wasn't completely shocked that he was second guessing the turn of events but he stuck to Piya. He chose to believe her words than succumbing to his own fear and that earns him a lot of brownie points from me.

About Nishant, yes, I still stick to my opinion. He has failed Piya and it was more of a Reevavanshi observation than a father's trust on his daughter like Alisha has beautifully explained here. I expected at least one sorry from him but MAKERS KI MAUT NAHI AA JAYEGI AISE KARNE SE??????

I loved Pi-RiAd scenes a lot. I am glad that the kids aren't forgotten and at the same time they aren't turned to savior too. They behaved like normal kids - they understood everything and directly confronted their mother who didn't hesitate to share the details and ensured everyone's safety first. How I wish we got more scenes of PiyAnsh with RiAd like the Camp Track instead of Gathods.

Bald & Beautiful - is the term that I want to use for our Pandit Ji. He blantly said Gathods might do that to save Ansh while Nishant had to be the writer's voice and justify their strength/unity. We can't blame Gathods as they are hypnotized right now but they would have done this only even if Dev hadn't done black magic on them.

Today's DilMan portion was completely unnecessary. They are much more enjoyable in relevant tracks or in the scenes that only feature the two of them. But in an excitement filled track like this, there was no necessity to Ghusofy unnecessary, forced comedy.

Well, haven't watched the episode but yes, after reading the WU, even I am pleased with Ansh. At least he trusted Pia's intuition and tried to see the situation from her POV. I am impressed...

Plus I am mildly surprised too that Ansh actually did something and didn't succumb to his fears, considering his zero self esteem as you pointed out. At least he found out the truth but unfortunately he couldn't reveal it to others.

Agree with you on Nishant too... He could have at least apologised for not trusting Pia. Although, yes I didn't expect any apology.

Pia and RiAd... Well, even I am glad that neither the kids are forgotten nor are they turned into complete saviours... I also want more scenes between Piansh and RiAd but unfortunately, the makers aren't this generous... We have to bear the manhoos shakals of the Gathods even though we hate them.

Bold: Panditji did?? But, yes I agree. Even if the Gathods were not hypnotized, they would have agreed to Dev's demand just to save Ansh. And Nishant... Why makers why?? Yahan bhi Gathods ki family unity and strength ko ghusana tha? Waise, the makers have already taken measures to give a clean chit to the Gathods by making Dev hypnotise them.

Interesting observation on Ansh regarding the low self esteem except i wish he wasn't put to sleep the entire track. If Piya has to fight Mo Bhas for Ansh every time why couldn't it be Ansh on Dev this week. Until it was too late he didn't clue in to his wife's source of discomfort. Not happy with that.

Piya's condition reminded me of a saying of Chanakya's about taking difficult decisions.

Regarding Dilman i found them the only bright spot this episode. Dil's mom was dissappointing tho. Not every Chudail has to hi hi hi. There should be some variety.

Regarding Rathods i had the same feeling that makers were going to a long extent to whitewash them. Egal this track should only end tomorrow.

I don't think he was late. But as always, he tried to look at the brighter side plus Dev being a Daivik was confusing. I think he'll bounce back. If not then shame on makers for not utilizing this track properly.

Ansh got very little to do this track. I hate that.

I don't think hypnotism would have worked on Piya. Remember how PL failed to do that in college?
