@underline it really was a great surprise if only they did more. They skipped a lot of Ramayan. Did they do Sitaās Agnipariksha? I get this is all about Love but you gotta show what really happened. Ram knew Sita was pure but it still happened. I heard two reasons why but it is irrelevant to this thread.
Back to Lakshman my theory why they didnāt show more of Lakshman is if they showed him vs Meghnaad they would have to show injured Lakshman. And these writers do not know how to make Krishn/Ram (in this case) love another person. Love is not only romantic relationships it is all relations including family and friends. Ram loved Lakshman and in all interpretations of Ramayan I have seen. Ram had a meltdown at the thought of loosing his little brother. Sita even knew Ram would never want to go back to Ayodhya without Lakshman. Sita even deeply cared for him. Here Krishn (now days especially) he barely loves Balram (I mean it a different and more annoying version of love) mostly just pokes fun at him. That caring bond was a while back. If it went to Ramayan CVs would not know how to write that up. But I know Sumedh would have acted it brilliantly.
