At this point Babita is — the culmination of lot of women and not necessarily just one woman who has all the issues. Writers are using her to address different scenarios concerning women. That’s how her character makes sense.

Right i dont see babita realizing it. Actually mini was trying to make her realize when she was living with khuranas also but she needed a big jolt of ashok cheating on her and getting mita home to realize she was living in a bubble.

Its babitas choice yes but if she would have been left to make the choice she would still have been living with khuranas when ashok came home with mita.

And if babita is not stopped now she will be going back on whatever she has learnt after walking out of khurana house. The idea of love and all is fine but its never a good idea to loose yourself in anyones love even if the person is a person like HS

And i dont understand this concept of taking names of the other. wife husband ki utni hi hoti hai jina husband wife ka then why does only the wife has to take up names. Another kind of patriarchal view

I don't know from what angle people expect Babita to realize things on her own....has she shown ANY capability in general to realize most things on her own? She has ALWAYS needed either a shock or a push. When she's grown up all her life with this patriarchal mindset of Pati hi sansaar hai types, toh kaise samjhegi khud se? Even less so when for a change she has a good pati now.....

And if her daughter tries to protect her from her own tendency to lose herself, she gets called names like gyaani, Gopi Bahu and kya kya.....LOL waah bhai. Aaj kal toh bhalaai ka zamaana hi nahin raha......the lesson here is to let your loved ones destroy themselves, don't bother trying to help them.....cuz help = gyaani/mahaanta/savior complex.....lol

I agree....I'm getting the same sense. Babita is a medium to address various kinds of scenarios that women face.

Of the wanna show that Babita is loosing her identity then the would have shown the shop issue only not the surname thing... Having husband surname doesn't means lady have lost her identity or her wings.... It's up-to individual how they want it...

And Minni statement mean tumhe pankh Dena chahti thi par tum rishton me bandhna something like that.. Means that she needs to balance her relationships I understand

But linking it to the surname thing is lame I feel....

Perhaps they want to show the difference between the two thing, i.e. her shop is part of her identity, not her surname.

Was just watching this from episode 98, 15:19 onwards. Can we please have this enthusiasm back in their lives? They made a great team. I especially loved the 'dhain' explanations!

See here is the thing... Mini will not be around to "correct" Babita every single time.. She has done what she had to do.. She has shown Babita how to stand on feet and be empowered and all that.. Now it is up to Babita to realize what she wants..

Its like teaching a man how to fish and then stopping from catching fish any other way.. Mini needs and I mean really needs to let go of Babita.. Even Babita falls back to her old ways or does mistakes, she will stand back up with the same pankh that Mini gave her.. But you just cannot show her being "corrected" by Mini or being guided by Mini in everything.. They are making Babita Mini's robot for crying out loud

Whether Babita loses her identity or not, whether she manages to balance her work-marriage or not are her headaches which need to be handled by her alone.. Mini's interference is not going to benefit her in the long run in this one.. The only thing she will learn is that Mini is always right.. She needs to be let free to learn lessons.. Thats how people grow.. kisi ko dono taraf se kitna bhi stretch karoge woh lamba thori hojaega.. growth does not happen by bhashans.. It happens through lessons

And our choti gopi bahu and the makers need to understand that
