Well on the bright side , this thread managed to resurrect the missing anti Hindu anti national fake liberal , so at least now everyone can stop wondering about your whereabouts and unduly crediting Thunderlight for it. 😆

what happened?? Now I am curious to know😭

However, i am not a religious person last time i went to temple for praying was maybe 4-5 years ago. (except going to temple for tourism purposes that would also be March 2017)

So if anyone wanna name call me religious fanatic or andhbhakt better know this fact.

You don't have to go to temple to be religious....I do pooja only on festivals...I hardly ever visit a temple.....it is the thought that counts.

Kuch khas nahi, Thunder haunts anyone who makes even a slight criticism on HR, Pachu did the same, so Thunder bashed him too. People mistook that as the reason of Pachu leaving, although moti chamdi Pachu hardly will leave because of that.

And we Nepalis, just like Tamils, Telugus, Assamese, Manipuris, Bengalis and so on, other Hindus, don't celebrate Karwa Chuat.

I thought Nepalese celebrated Teej? Equivalent of Karva Chauth

"Five months after North India celebrates Karva Chauth, its south counterparts follow suit on Sunday.'Karadaiyan Nonbu' (Karva Chauth) is a festival of special significance to married women across South India ' Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. Karadaiyan Nombu in South India, is also called 'Savithri Vratham' and is the most important festival for married women in South India, the Tamil Brahmins.

It is celebrated on the first day of Pisces in the southern calendar as this symbolises fish-like shape of the eyes of Goddess Parvati. Her birthday falls on the same day. We worship Goddess Gauri and pray for longevity and welfare of our husbands. We try to emulate the devotion and love shown by Savitri for her husband Satyavan."

Yes Teej is celebrated, but that isn't like Karwa Chaut. Just like Kali Pooja isn't Durga Pooja.

I know the only point you were trying to make that was.....that despite how Sindoor khela is all inclusive now.....maybe in some rural area of Bengal there might be a widowed woman whose mother in law might be cursing her and not letting her go for sindoor khela......its education that is the key like being said on this thread by several people....just because some don't have a CHOICE ...doesn't mean that those who have the CHOICE and FREEDOM suffer because a tradition was eradicated....our focus should be to empower those women who don't have the choice and freedom.

Exactly and which is complete contrast to my school days... when every tuesday without fail i used to go to temple. But it was also fun time to hang out with friends. Getting tasty prasad. n all..

Growing up i fought with parents(now they have understood or given up) that if i have lost belief in god... going to temple wont matter. But before that came a thought in my head that you dont need a temple to do prayers. You can do it from anywhere. God resides in us. There were different stages of reckoning.

I have finally settled at being Agnostic Deist.😆

Exactly Khairhaggi gave me everything we all were saying along. Why kill the tradition which are intrinsic for society well being.. when you can use education as a tool to eradicate the negative connotations. It has happened with Durga Pooja - Sindoor Khela ritual and to larger extent with Karva Chauth in Urban India. Rural will come in place too someday.

With this research published and sponsored by American Medical Association the cartel had a massive turnaround.

Funny story about coconut oil. 😆 In oil case.... best oil is which is grown in your locality. Mustard in north groundnut in middle and coconut in south. Simple. Save you the triple price of olive oil.

Adding to COLD PRESSED oil ... fancy words today .. which in reality again our ancestors used to consume. Have you seen the rates of cold pressed juices in the supermarkets. No fcuking Shit. complete robbing us. Juice wala used to make same in 10 rs gali gali before 2000 amd this Instagram Health influencers reckoning. Now it costs 150.

Yup. These people are one big cartel and operate symbiotically. All they care about is $$$. Interesting info about olive oil, at least it is sorta healthy for you. I have some more interesting info about the AMA haha. The Journal of AMA published an article titled “A Historical Analysis of Internal Industry Documents” in 2016 saying that sugar trade groups paid scientists to produce research that shifted the blame for heart disease from sugar to fats back in the 70s’. After that health authorities started promoting high carb, low fat diet. The results are now out there for all to see.😆 And I bet they also came up with the ‘breakfast is the most important meal of the day’ lie. Maybe the cereal companies are also affiliated with these people? :P

Thanks for the advice on oil, unfortunately I don’t live in India so I have to pay a lot for the cold pressed virgin oil.

I always wonder why people buy juice when they can just make it themselves using real fruit/veg? Just juice the pulp and strain the juice using a mesh strainer, how hard is that?😳
