He's not mahaan. Never has been and never will be. He has been making lots of mistakes since the beginning and has character flaws that are glaringly obvious.

I don't think we're saying he is better than someone else, but if pointing out Babita's mistakes makes you feel that we think HS is the better person then I don't know what to say.

I look at all three characters from their perspective and spell out what I do or don't like about their behavior or decisions, and judge them according to their nature, not in comparison with others.

Pointing out Babita’s mistakes is something I do myself too.

With HS, the underlying tone is, he will suffer. He will sacrifice. He will let go. He will stick around for Mini and Babita’s happiness.

All this makes him sound sacrificial, giving giving and giving person. It’s like when interviewer asks about weakness and we say I am workaholic.

Loll, I've already started judging them. 😆 Of course, I don't expect them to be exactly like him but if they have even an iota of his character phir baat bane.

If indeed he is sounding sacrificial that is a bad thing too. Too much of anything is harmful and the path he's going down will be self-destructive eventually. It's not just he will suffer or will let go. He is already suffering and already letting go of things. I am find with him wanting to be around for Minnie and Babita's happiness but it should be for his own happiness too, and not just for them.

Not just him, but Minnie is suffering too, probably more than both HS and Babita. She doesn't introspect as much but it's clear that she's struggling. The spark is missing in her eyes.

Edit: if he ends up sacrificing and putting up with abuse over time then he isn't listening to his own advice to Minnie and Babita when he coached them over the months.

Babita is also being written by someone. She isn’t real. Same is Hanuman. And Babita gets criticized for the wording and behavior. so does he.

I am not a mind reader. I go by what is presented to me through this character. There is no way these character exist beyond how someone is writing them.

@as for why he got married — he loves Her and coz he knows she loves him too. He told her — mana mat karna. Mein janta hoon.. aap bhi manne utna Hi chahte ho.

Lol. I don’t understand this why did he get married fanda to be honest. Mujhe toh he married because he loves her jaisa lagta hai. I don’t see any other reason, unless it’s loneliness then it’s not fair for Babita either, like it’s not fair for HS if Babita only married him to show to the world that she can keep a husband or can make the marriage work.

Literally HS’s word: Mein aapko bahut chahta hun jaise aap bhi mujhe chahti ho. HS didn’t have to lie lol. Who was he lying to at that point? Babita? I don’t get it.

If we take everything Babita says literally, why don’t we take everything HS says literally either? 🤔

@ Gur, I was just watching that scene between HS and NB where he ties her taabeez.

During most of the scene, he had his hand on her foot and it kind of reminded me of that terrace scene between them any months ago when he went to her for advice. These little touches are really nice to see. I am hoping the quality of the screenplay is restored to its original glory. Miss those days!

That’s what I feel too. And when I point out HS’s mistakes, I am called a Paridhi fan. The thing is I am not even her fan. I mostly talk about Babita, the character and not Paridhi portraying her ever. It’s the people on Twitter, her fans who are pissed about her character. I don’t even follow her on any social media or have watched any of her shows before PB. I don’t get this.

I'm so glad this isn't one of those forums where we have fan wars, thank goodness.

For me, personally I am most annoyed with the writing. HS entered the show much later and I grew to love him but I did originally want to see Babita's journey. Right now I feel shortchanged because the writing is confusing us as to what the heck is going on in their lives and what is it the PH is trying to convey. Will Babita's growth to emancipation happen at all or be shown or do they have something else in mind?

As for HS, he doesn't need to be sacrificial. After telling women they shouldn't put up with emotional abuse or treating their patis as parmeshwar, he should think about gender equality and apply the same policy to himself. He has to stop comparing her situation with his mother's and feeling guilty all the time. Until he does that, he will continue suffering because of his own decisions and hurting himself and others.
