Actually we see minutely then we will notice it's not exactly her fault. She seems to be a college drop out or may be passed. Just crossed her teens, who is in her la la Land for whom Bajaj was worst man on this Earth who keeps her away from love of her life. Do you remember the scene where other couple was getting engaged and Mohini pulled some stints putting fish in Pooja thal and Veena got all enraged, that time Prerna instead of understanding her mom's POV was clearly worried that her rishta with Basus should not be jeopardized. Even later when Veena was accused of stealing and Prerna even got to know that it all was planned by Mohini, I didn't see that sort of enraged, why? because she was in bubble, she loves 'someone' and with 'his' love she may win any battle. Now when lived with Bajaj, she got all the bases to compere both men in her life,otherwise what was the meaning of Bajaj's dialogue "yeh deal aapki life ki best deal saabit hogi".
