According to yesterday's precap, we're going to start focusing on the catering service again.

Many episodes ago, Babita had once stated how she wished to make Patiala Babes a global brand. She wants her food to reach all corners of the world. A very admirable aspiration for a woman who had no prior business experience.

In a recent conversation with Naeem Bi, Babita stated how she wants to bask in her martial bliss and immerse herself completely in her husband's love and not want any sort of interference or distractions from it. It's understandable considering she spent seventeen years of her first marriage without a husband's affections. She had also mentioned how she had missed being a housewife. Once again, it's understandable since that's what she was for a large portion of her life. It's a role that she's comfortable with and knows quite intimately.

With Chachiji's arrival, she will undoubtedly be placed in many situations where she will have to choose between the house life and her work. It's good that Babita will get this nudge as she can re-evaluate just what does she want from her shop.

Does she wish to fulfill her previous dreams of global expansion or is she happy with where it is right now? Does she wish to be more heavily involved in the shop or is she satisfied with just the supervisory roles? Does she wish to be a housewife again or does she want to continue being a career woman?

Whichever path she chooses, it must be her choice. Not one that was made out of guilt or manipulation, but one of her own want.

Update:

• Babita continues to taunt Khatri and Kammo. HS feeds Khatri a gulab jamun and advises him to only speak and think sweetly now. If he continues to think and do wrong, then wrong things will happen to him in return.
• Babita asks Kammo if she remembers how during their wedding someone had taunted them that they will never be able to stay together and even if they do, they'll never be happy. She calls Minnie over who sits beside Babes. Babita holds both Minnie and HS's hands and tells Kammo how they're together and happy. Minnie doesn't prick her and HS isn't ashamed of calling Minnie himself her father either. Today her entire family is with her.
• Naeem Bi complains to the workers how everything is a mess and they should clean up everything before they close shop. She asks them where Kammo is but they don't know.
• Minnie surprise tackles Naeem Bi and scares her. She gives them a new order for one hundred boxes that needs to be completed by 8 p.m.
• Naeem Bi calls up Kammo asking where she is. Kammo tells her that she won't be able to arrive until the evening since she's busy with other matters. Naeem Bi tells her about a new order. Kammo tells her to call over Babita. Naeem Bi tells Kammo to stop going after Babita since she's newly married and she's fasting for Navratri. Kammo mocks Babita as if she's the only one doing the Navratri fasts. Even Kammo is keeping them but that doesn't stop her from working. She disconnects the phone saying that she needs a half day off.
• Kammo says she'll never forget how Babita insulted them till the day she dies.
• Saroj tells Babita how she's so happy to see Babita wearing sindoor. She comments on how a woman's life is incomplete without her husband. Babita agrees with her saying that sometimes she's unable to believe how lucky she is. She even pinches herself sometimes to make sure she's not dreaming.
• Babita tells Saroj when Ashok left she thought that's how she'll have to live out the rest of her life. But then HS came into her life with so much love, respect and happiness. Despite being a divorcee, he accepted her.
• Saroj agrees as to how he has a huge heart. If a man gets divorced or becomes a widow, then there's a line of women waiting for him. But women don't get that second chance. Babita says it's only because of Mata Rani's blessings that she got a second chance. And as for HS, he can't even be compared. There's no other like him. Saroj tells her now that she has him, not to lose him.
• Minnie comes back to the shop after her exams. She takes out 1k rupees from the cash box as she wants to throw her friends a party. She tells Naeem Bi to note it down in her account and is about to leave when she sees Naeem Bi tensed. She asks her what's up and Naeem Bi tells her that she's worried that they won't be able to make the delivery on time. At most, she can make twenty boxes and with the help of the workers, maybe 60 or 70. Kammo isn't coming to work today by citing her back pain as an excuse and Babita won't even come.
• She also tells Minnie for how long will she do this alone? Minnie gets all the clients but Babita also has some responsibilities. She's so lost in her newly married life that she has forgotten everything else. Minnie asks Naeem Bi if she has spoken to Babita about this. Naeem Bi tells her that she has but every time she brings up the topic, Babita avoids it with something or another.
• Minnie gets a call from the evening's order and finds out that they have lost the client to Khatri who made an offer at a lower price.
• Minnie comes home and greets Saroj. They talk about how her exams went.
• Minnie tells them how she's tensed about this new client that she had gotten for the catering service. She's not sure how Naeem Bi will be able to handle it all on her own. Babita questions as to where Kammo was. Minnie tells her to not even talk about Kammo since she's not trustworthy. At first she herself made the excuse of not being able to come because of back pain and then Khatri snatched that same client of theirs with the greed of making the offer at half price.
• Babita comments on how she should have never trusted Kammo. Minnie tells her that this happened because she stopped coming to the shop. If she had, then the food would have been delivered on time and it would have been of high quality.
• Minnie tells her that she understands that she's newly married and she wants to focus on that but concentrate a little bit on her career too. The shop is incomplete without her.
• HS gets a call from Satto Chachi. Chachi asks Lala if he has gotten married to Geeta Kumari yet. HS laughs while Lala answers that he hasn't. She tells him not to worry that when she comes, she'll have a talk with his FIL and tell him straight up that either get them married willingly or they'll elope with the girl. Lala gets really happy on hearing her determination.
• Satto complains to HS how he secretly got married and didn't even invite her. She asks if her DIL isn't good. HS says that she's very good. She asks then why is he feeling so shy in showing her. HS tells her it's nothing like that. All Satto needs to do is say so and he'll present Babita in front of her. If she wants, then he'll even bring her to the village where Satto lives. Satoo tells him no, that she's not waiting on him anymore. He has become too sensible these days and that he'll have hundreds of excuses waiting for her.
• She tells him how an alliance has been made in Patiala and because of his job as a police officer, was wondering if HS could look into the guy and see if he's decent. HS is more than eager to do so. She informs him how she's coming to Patiala for a few days for this reason. Moreover, she'll get a chance to see his wife and be served by her. She asks him if she can do so and if he won't mind it. HS tells her he won't mind at all and he's looking for a chance to be honored so that they can take care of her.
• Satto tells him that she'll be arriving the next morning by train. HS tells her that Lala will come to the station to receive her.
• Minnie is talking to the same client and is trying to win him back. She wins him over and tells Babita that the order has been made for 180 boxes. Babita freaks out over how they'll manage it for the next day.
• Minnie encourages her saying they'll do it just like old times. Besides, they have a full staff right now and if needed, she can hire some more. But this time around Babita will have to supervise everything herself.
• Saroj asks Babita why she's so tensed. Babita tells her how the next day was a very important day during Navratri for newly married couples since a special pooja is held for husbands. Babita too wanted to conduct a special pooja for HS the next day.
• Saroj whispers to Babita to pray for a baby as well. Babita hushes her while Minnie freaks out. She tells Babita to wait a couple years and enjoy her life. There's no need to plan for a baby right now and not to listen to any of this nonsense.
• Babita tells Minnie that it's not nonsense but the truth of life. Saroj tells Babita to hurry up a little since she heard that after 30, there are complications when it comes to delivery.
• Minnie says there are already delivery complications. Seeing Saroj and Babita's faces, she clarifies for the shop's order. She tells Babes that she has taken up the responsibility for 180 boxes. She won't be able to do it alone and needs her help.
• Babes gets HS' phone call and answers it on the side. He informs her about his Chachiji's arrival.
• At home, HS tells everyone how Satto Chachiji is his favorite chachiji as she's the one who gives him the most love and admiration. They don't have any blood relation but she's from the village and is his favorite. He has never seen a woman like her. She alone will stand up against the entire village in support of his mother for all the wrong doings his father will enact upon her. She alone was able to understand his mom.
• He asks Babita if she understands now why he was telling her to forget everything for the next few days. Chachiji is coming only to be taken care of by her DIL. He wants nothing to be amiss and that when she leaves, she does so by blessing them a lot.
• Minnie tells HS how the shop has a huge order the next day and Babes will be needed. She asks if it'll be possible but HS cuts her off saying that for the next two days has to be for Satto Chachi. After that they can do whatever they want.
• He goes on to further explain how it's not easy to please or make Chachiji happy. She's from an older generation's type of mentality. She's very strict on norms and laws. Once she has decided that she wants to be served by her DIL, then that's exactly what she'll get. Moreover she has quite a few health complications. If Babita won't take care of her then who will?
• Precap: Kammo asks where are all these boxes going? Naeem Bi tells her the same place where she didn't even allow a hundred boxes to go. Kammo tells Minnie that she's packing and sending the boxes but how will she send the taste? Besides, who's there to take care of Patiala Babes Catering Service other than her and Babita? She hopes that the boxes don't get returned. Minnie is tensed.

On a serious note, I really don't know what happened to Babita's earlier ambition. I understand her wanting some time off after her marriage but nowadays she just seems to not care about the business at all. She brushes off the topic whenever someone brings it up, saying Minnie will take care of it. Earlier it was a joint effort by Babita and Minnie but looks like now it'll be just Minnie, taking care of business, everyday. 😆

As for her ambitions, that's the feeling that I'm getting too. At first I thought she was in that marital bliss so I was okay cuz she deserves it. But if she lost the steam for prospering her career phir toh Idk what to say. I guess hota hai. 😆

And also that Babita was never a career oriented woman. Her every move has been towards giving Mini financial security. And now that they have Hanuman, I don't think Babita is worrying about their security. I never felt that she was ambitious enough for global expansion, aise hi bol diya hoga kabhi. Anyhow I have never seen her as a business or career oriented woman so that's okay. As long as PB is running smoothly and making profit, aisa hi supervision chalta rahega.

Waise bhi the next step seems Khatri wrecking havoc on PB so maybe that's the time when a call would be taken for Catering service.

Her every move has been towards giving Mini financial security. And now that they have Hanuman, I don't think Babita is worrying about their security.

She should think of their financial security though. Hanuman's salary would never be enough for all three people's daily expenses plus saving for Minnie's education. The business is currently profit-making but sustainability needs more than just supervision and new recipes na..

It's completely okay if Babita doesn't want to be a career woman. She shouldn't be shamed for it. If she finds happiness and comfort in being a housewife, then go for it. I completely agree with you on the Minnie bit. The catering service at the time was a majboori not something that she had planned on always doing. But now that she doesn't have that necessity anymore, it's okay if Babita doesn't want to invest all her energies into it. If she just wants to be a supervisor, then fine, but just make it clear to everyone that's what she wants to do so that they don't hold too many expectations from her, especially Minnie.

I think global expansion toh tashan mein bol diya hoga. Khatri ko dekhke.

But jo bhi ho. I think she should keep her business. If not expand, just let it run as it does now. It gives them financial stability and security. Plus if ever Babes feel like she is getting bored, she can always go back to doing what she likes. Cook!

They never had this discussion though. Jaisa hai waisa chala re hai. They don't even know about Minnie's aspirations. Is she still interested in photography? Does she want to re-apply to that college in Delhi? Or go to London? If she wants either of these, then the catering service has to stay.
