Btw, I googled what lohri is and apparently it's the celebration of the winter solstice so yeh ladka wala angle kahan se aaya pata nahi.

OMG this first hand happened in my house. I've witnessed this shit. But the best part is when my Mom stood up and said that this kind of bullshit is not permitted in my house. Bass, sabki bolti band hogayi 😎

Obviously, lohri is just onset of summer or spring. More to do with crop harvesting.

Edit- oh sorry that's baisakhi. Yeah lohri is not winter solstice though I think it's Uttaraayan waala tyohaar.

Loll, Idek anything about these festivals. Jaise manani hai manaye jaye. But ek baat toh meine taan li, mein na kabhi lohri manao. Agar in-laws ne force bhi kiya toh shart par karungi ki agar ladki hui uske liye bhi karni hogi.

Mera bas yeh hai ki. Don’t make pregnant woman stressed about kya hoga. And if it’s girl, you tell her — koi baat nahi. Are kya baat hui yar. She just delivered a baby after 9 months and this is how you welcome that baby?
Jo bhi hai. Kid hai. And that kid will fill the house with so much happiness. Gender doesn’t matter!
