We are forgetting here that he is not her father (no matter how much babita wants it, nor will he ever be). He’s never been a father before and he’s suddenly expected to conform to babitas idea on what a father is meant to do/be? How would she even know? Mini’s never had a father before in anything except name and babita was married off at 18 so how would she know how a father is meant to handle a 18 year old? EVERYONES going through an adjustment phase. The role of step father (especially to someone that’s mini’s age) is very different to the role of father and a man can’t father a grown girl overnight. This relationship is built with time. don’t get me wrong BOTH HS AND BABITA have behaved appallingly since the wedding, and they need their heads banging together, but this “father” thing is too much too soon. He was more of a father when being himself, rather than when trying to conform to babitas warped idea of fatherhood

Bold 2: as if this would happen 🙄 she enjoys being a wife and homemaker too damn much. So much so that she isn’t interested in anything else, not even her business

Hanuman called himself Mini's father way before wedding.. why would Babita think he needs time to adjust to this new role? And if he does need time, he needs to explain that to Babita.. akhir Babita too explained him her insecurities after a while now na? Babita might react negatively at first but she will understand later.. she always does

Babita expects Hanuman to be strict and yet loving.. how is that difficult?! That's how Hanuman was pre-wedding? Is it too much to ask to expect him to go back to as he was.. unless of course all that was an elaborate act by Hanuman.. Babita prodded him to be a father when he was being nothing, not even Hanuman uncle
