Tokyo Godfathers is just as good, all the films are a perfect 10 for me.. although my memory of Tokyo Godfathers is a bit hazy..

I'm watching it right now :D ..5 episodes in. Loving it so far. But I had this strong urge to re-visit Perfect Blue again, so it's on hold for now.. feel like re-watching all four films again..:)

Hi Angel 😊. I meant a Great in all of Cinema. Up there with the Bongs, Nolans and the Park Chan Wooks of the world. Not just anime. Although I am sure he was a nice person too.

Millennium Actress was very affecting for sure but didn't quite blow my mind like Perfect Blue and Paprika did with their atmosphere and inventiveness. Maybe I should revisit it.

Even though I liked Paprika more on the 1st time watch, Perfect Blue is the one that is the most intriguing of all his movies. Someone called it as Hitchcock meet Lynch and that is the perfect way to sell it to first time watchers 😉.

I recently downloaded Paranoia Agent and Tokyo Godfathers and hopefully should get around to watching them.

Btw, if you had to pick one of his movies as a favorite, which one would it be?

Hmm😃 ..these films are an experience Deja, they relate on subconscious level too. I have re-watched three films (Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress, Paprika) quite a few times since February last year.. I'm crazy about these movies and the soundtracks..❤️

I can't listen to Angel of Love without being reminded of the elevator scene.. This soundtrack though has one of the most chilling / scariest pieces of music I have ever heard.
