Precisely.. Ironically, its Kammo's words that started this chain of reaction in Mini's head.. for all her big words about Babita being influenced by log kia kaheinge, in this instance, Mini's state is actually because she was unable to forget what Kammo said

Exactly, Minnie is affected by it too. She is a lot more like Babita than she realizes.

Precisely! Idk if parents get that, I don't know if my parents even know how much their trust in me means to me, but it means a frigging lot. And if Babita were to distrust Mini anyway, she'd be like, after being faithful if what I get in return is brickbacks, why try to be good? When you get blamed for being good and unnecessarily doubted, might as well indulge in tomfoolery and bad behaviour and get scolded justifiably. Idk what her past behaviour has been, but no past behaviour of a daughter deserves the kind of suspicion that Babita had, and definitely no correlation with Meeta

Yes, the dialogues were perfect but I don't know if Minnie or Babita got the point at all.

The main intention of the writer was to ensure Mini and Babita do NOT get the point, coz they were a mishit. The bull's eye was the mishit. Things spiralled down and that's the point. Those things he said was wrong! It doesn't matter if he's the chief of the house, he cannot say his wife is doing her a favour by keeping her there. And otherwise she'll have no place to be.

EXACTLY! I used to love the Mini-HS conversations. And, I wish they'd had a proper talk about the CD thing. At least Mini should have told him what she felt even after he apologised. Saying I am hurt and it's gonna take some time for me to get over it.

I think this will happen at some point.

I don't know what kind of discipline she needs to have. Her mother equates her with an infidel woman, and she's expected to clarify saying Sorry, Babes, I am not like Meeta Aunty. And sorry, I ran around and became good friends with a guy and sorry for not bothering about Kammo Aunty's wise words who's never incited us so far. And go back to her room huh? 😆 I would never talk to Babes until she hands down apologised for THINKING that. Someone's mentioned it's Babes' own thinking. And her thinking is majorly screwed up about distrust and doubt and what not. Babes and HS walked along at nights, were they in a relationship? Did she like it when questioned? No, coz they were NOT. Whatever their feelings were. I loved how HS told her that the first night Mickey was there.

And today also, when she comes back, she says Teri Shaadi Kaise hogi. Dude, you can't ask that. You got married a second time. You found someone after the supposed world and society (which consists of only Khatri and Kammo) questioned your character, after your ex-husband defamed you in the court. You stood up for your rights and found love again. Why won't she?

To be honest, women who are single, who have married again, have broader views about society than people who's marriages thrive. Because the former deal with a lot more shit.

Babita wants a normal family, normal by societal standards. Her family is different. It consists of two people who have remarried for love and her daughter, who has a great bond with her husband, who is also her uncle. Their relationship is unique. This is THEIR normal. It's never gonna be the normal family, where father is the head, wife handles the kitchen and kids are disciplined by the fathers and are told how to talk and behave. Their normal is a different one. And she can't fix their circular relationship into the box that every family has around them coz it's not a box.

She needs to have the kind of discipline in which she becomes clear that things would not always work her way.. She cannot shout or do whatever she pleases.. there needs to be boundaries while talking. (this is separate from Babita calling her a second woman because for that Babita needs to be scolded) but Mini does not need a good sitting down..

Babita and Hanuman were grown up individuals with no strings attached.. If you have noticed, Babita's problems with MM grew more when she learned about Preet being in the picture..

Teri shadi kese hogi is the kind of thing most conservative desi moms say.. And thats the whole point.. Babita is still battling soceity for her second marriage.. How easily NB's son called himself shareef compared to himself.. She might have found love again but she continues to be degraded for it, by her own daughter too.. Would she want that for her daughter? No

I don't think she wanted to hide.. At this point, I don't even think she realizes how wrong she was in calling Mini like Meeta so there is no question of hiding

Well he brought on the test on himself when he said he called himself Mini's father to appease her

Yes, and that's for him to learn. That he has to do things his way and at the correct time. It should come from within him and not on being instigated.

If you remember me talking quite a bit about his focus on the macro vs micro where Minnie is concerned. He's great with all the macro stuff but the micro stuff about Minnie is what he needs to learn to focus on. He will have to learn to become her parent over time, but I want him to do it his own way, make mistakes, learn, correct himself, etc. Not because of another person's demands, neither Babita nor Minnie, otherwise these things will keep happening.

When you are fighting with some one a decent man doesn't hit below the belt or hit at a sore point to gain extra points. HS's comments about Ashok throwin Minnie out and that he will throw her out if she goes against their wishes were exactly that.. uncharitably harsh, below the belt comments. Because he knows Minnie cannot leave the home even if she wants since she is not financially capable yet.

I don't think mature, educated, sensible parents threaten to throw their teenage children out of the homes. Because their is a very real risk that the children, out of frustration and anger, will take it to heart and run away from home. The fact that HS thought nothing of threatening to throw Minnie out of HIS home (so Minnie is an outsider and has no rights to his step-father's property?) shows that he doesn't even care if Miinie actuallygets hurt enough to leave home. Either he thinks Minnie is not impulsive or hot-headed enough (not true) or he simply doesn't care.
