Finally the forum is up and running !!!
Gosh I had so much to write and share ever since the first episode aired but since it's almost 10 days too late I am going to focus on the current track and it's SHEER BRILLIANCE !
Wow...Wow....Wow
Can I tell how happy I am that this show is being made and how authentic it looks and feels. Sure there is drama...there are certain aspects that have been fictionalized even when the Gods and Goddesses are concerned but regardless of all that it is still relatable and accessible and very true to the genre of Mythology AND Isn't that how it is supposed to be?
Coming back to the shows current track the entire sequence starting with Bhudevi and Trideviyaan coming to meet Maa Vaishnavi was simply goosebumps inducing !
For starters the entire sequence starting with the public coming to meet Vaishnavi reminded me of how it really is when you visit Mata Rani at her Holy Shrine in Katra. The way hordes of people visit the temple get to Mata Vaishno Devi's darshan in today's time - the scene looked like an exact replica of that AND that there is brilliant writing .

I still can't get the image of Devi Saraswati, Devi Lakshimi and Maha Kali joining the crowd, standing in the queue and finally getting to meet their daughter and showering all their love on their little one...It was such a beautifully written scene.
Maa Kali's anger when the rakshas tries to harm her daughter ...the way Mata Rani calms Maa Kali....Devi Saraswati erasing every memory of Mata Rani from the Rakshas's mind..each and every scene was so beautifully written, performed and executed in it's entirety.
I have been a long time watcher of ITV shows no matter what the genre. I can look past logic and reasoning in our daily soaps....I can enjoy the ridiculousness of supernatural shows.... I can even accept facts distortion when it comes to Historical dramas BUT I cannot stand when Mythological shows are messed up, when the standards are compromised & when it is treated with the same mediocrity that the other dramas are treated. Turning Gods and Goddesses into normal ML and FL is unacceptable.... Even Lord Krishna; no matter how natkhat he is gives you the impression that he is LORD & that is how it should be.
As far as writing and dialogues go there is divinity in it all ...In the back of our heads we know that Ishita plays Maha Kali...that Madirakshi plays Devi Lakshmi etc. but when they are on screen and in character you see only the characters. Sadly the other mythological show that debuted almost the same time have managed to botch every aspect except for VFX...But shows don't run on good VFX alone.
