I am so confused after watching today’s episode. First off, I felt like Rohit was kind of trying to invalidate what Sona was feeling ( yesterday’s episode), like she was crazy to think that he was angry with her. I did not like that. It’s what I got from that scene. I am not bashing Rohit or anything. Secondly, why is everyone so normal around Sona even after Rohit told them about the whole pretend relationship thing. Am I missing something here. I am not sure if I missed an episode or pet where that was cleared.

I guess it’s become a case of wolf and shepherd for Rohit’s family. He has lied enough all these days that they don’t want to believe him anymore. So even if he said he was faking his relationship with Sona no one has taken him seriously yet again 😄

I think Rohit’s mom will question about him and Sona. But at that moment, Raima was more important. But I agree, their faces didn’t even seem in a way even surprised to seem them together.

😆 Highly possible. And he's probably invalidating it, coz possibly he wasn't angry and was just in some major shock. Or he believed he was angry then, but later realised that he was just in shock. See, he knew he had behaved off, otherwise, there was no need to come and desperately meet her the next day. The fact that he was so desperate shows that he knew something was amiss, he may brush it under the carpet, but that brushing under the carpet was necessary coz of his previous actions.

It is called gaslighting. Its classic trait of a narcissist to avoid having to face his wrongdoings and make the other person second guess themselves. I find it fascinating how they continue to write Rohit as a narcissist without actually meaning to.

Probably. But as long as these two understand each other, it is okay. IF he is a narcissist, and Sona manages to love him even then, it is fine.

Sona is attracted to narcissists. Hence her first boyfriend was Karan. Someone like Sona may be okay with it initially because of a desperation for love but with time it goes sour.

I don't think he is a narcissist, however. Everyone has this personal defence mechanism, calling his behaviour narcissistic is too extreme, regarding that conversation. People generally blame others first and then themselves, some do the latter. But that doesn't make them desperate or narcissistic. Different tendencies. Extremes are ugly, but in moderation people can manage.

I get what you are trying to say but it’s not about just one incident. The character has been showing these traits again and that does not make him a bad guy . I think it gives some complexity to his character. He is shown to be self loathing at times, kind of selfish some times but also selfless at other moments. But I also feel it has to do a lot with the writers. It’s not just rohit, but most leading men are shown to have these same character traits and women fall for them and stay with them inspite if it, that kind of portrayal doesn’t sit right with me, but at the end of the day it’s a show and these are just characters from someone’s imagination

OMG yes. I see this a lot not just in Indian tv but kdrama and western series too. It’s kind of disturbing how people are okay with it. Maybe I find it rather disturbing because I see it way too much in real life too.
