Babita knows that Mini is like Ashok and will cheat

I cannot believe how much Babita has been slated and called a bad Mother and Mini is getting a pat on the back.

It is said that Mother's knows her Child better than anyone and here I think that Babita knows that Mini is her Father's daughter and has the same traits as him and this is what she sees and is seeing trouble in the toxic trio.

Here Babita has seen that Mickey and Mini have feelings for one another and Preeti in her innocence believes them but in reality these two are misleading her. Only a person who has been deceived and cheated on knows the signals and she is picking them up from the Mini and Mickey and she has a right to be worried etc.

Yes Babes wants Mini to study and not muck around like she is a Child but in reality is nearly 18 years old and should behave like one is what she is telling Mini.

We live in a Society where a Girl's reputation and respect go hand in hand no matter how educated we are but in reality our desi culture etc will still be there. I can understand how uncomfortable Babita was seeing Mickey and Mini on the Scotty and holding her waist and I can imagine that what people see and talk is all part and parcel of our culture where a Girl's reputation is lost with things like this.

Mini is way to rude and likes taunting her Mother to justify her actions is plain wrong and she did it to justify her and Mickey soulmate love and compared it to HS and Bsbita's friendship and love and called them confused etc was well below the belt and got a slap for it, is long overdue and no way should Babita say sorry to her.

Mini needs to learn that she is still a Child, she in reality has no concept of what life is like outside of the box and needs a reality check.

What people don't understand is that Babita has read Mini very well and knows that given a chance she will cross the line and become Mita.

A Mother is one who is not at fault if she recognizes what her Child is capable of and it should be noted that no mother wants bad for her Child but only good if corrected in time before it is too late.

I respect your opinion but I find your post troubling. Mini at this point has done nothing to indicate she is anything like her father. If anything Mini has bent over backwards being the adult in the relationship with her mother fighting for Babita's rights. Babita, as pointed by many, has been a passive spectator to her life choosing to sit back, cry and blame others and shirk responsibility. The only similarity (if any) I can see between Mini and Ashok is her temper - and even that could be reaction to all the nonsense she has had to witness thanks to her parents, and the lack of emotional support. Not to mention teenage years are confusing and teenagers are prone to angst - doesn't mean they don't grow out of it.

Babita may love her daughter but that doesn't mean she is a good parent. If she was concerned about Mini's relationship with Mickey it was something she could have brought up in private. She could explain exactly what her concerns and worries were and also been respectful enough to listen to her daughter's perspective. And if she was still concerned she could have offered advise or direction. What Babita did instead was despicable and honestly had this not been a tv show where perceived good characters are already forgiven she would have lost her relationship with her daughter for good.

This idea that a girl's reputation is paramount is problematic because it does in some ways feed into rape culture but I take your point that in smaller towns within India this kind of backward thinking still exists and yes a person like Babita would be "worried". That said there was a better way to handle it. As for Mini's attitude towards Babita - respect is earned and not given. Babita unfortunately fostered a relationship with her daughter where Mini almost self-parented and was also responsible for Babita's well-being. If she wants her daughter to be more respectful she needs some severe self-reflection on where she failed to instil boundaries, how she has burdened her child and what she can do now to improve it. The onus is on the parent to identify the issue and correct their child (and at 18 Mini isn't emotionally mature to really process and bear the decisions of the "adult world").

Again i respect your point but Mini is a lot like Ashok and yes she will cross the line with Mickey and will not think that it is wrong because they love each other.

Yes she is very rude and needs a reality check that life outside is a loy different and she will not be able to boss people around to get them to do things are way and waiting for that to happen, than and than only she will realise that you can not push people around and respect is a 2 way street.

Mini is an adolescent and not a child . Another couple of weeks , she will be an adult .

A mother should know how to differently deal with her 5 year old child, her 14 year old teenager and about to be 18 year old young woman -daughter.

But what can you expect if a mother who herself behaves like a 12 year old !!!

Writers have completely ruined Babita's character .I was watching few earlier episodes and Babita was such a wonderful mother and person . Now she has been made into a cartoon character !

specially about the point where respect is earned. every seems to be complaining about how mini speaks to her mother but if mini has had to parent her and if babita behaves like a ziddi kid then what can she do. It is difficult to get that mother-daughter respect for children who have had to stand up for their mothers all time. People do not understand that

TM I respect your point of view but not agree with you. here Bubita listen to all bullish and then with anger she react but Mini is pure and as a mother babes know very well Mini always care for love ones. Micky and Preeet her best friends babes know that but because of mrs. Khatri she behave like a jerk. she has to learn how to talk to grown up child who got trauma after trauma in such age. Quite the contrary actually! Mini has actually shown to be fiercely loyal. How small minded ppl still are in 2019 where a soulmate and boy-girl relationship has got to be something romantic and cannot be anything different. These ppl just like babitas character are stuck somewhere in the past where everything were either black or white.

Instead of changing personal mindsets and giving girls “reputations” again we ask women to conform to what society wants her to be? It’s this mindset that leads to teaching this incorrect way of thinking to the next generation, and so the cycle never changes.
