Sanskrit banana would be intelligent bcz most people don't speak it now so it'll work like Latin did in biology field. But I feel like dant Tut jayenge logoke to learn it, it's very tough😆and sare languages me voting hua to bahut jhagra ho jayga date states ka. It's an unnecessary pot stirrer. Problem Kya ho rha h current situation we? Aisa to nhi h ki koi kisise bat nahi Kar pa rha.

We had sanskrit in Inter 1st year and 2nd year and I didn't understand a thing. Slokas ko ratha marke without knowing the meaning , exam mein bhagwan ke krupa se pass ho jati thi.😇

eh what kind of a teacher is that. How can someone slap u for not putting bindi that's not a teacher's job to decide for u. How weird n bad.

Ha Sanskrit is pretty tough I learnt for two years in class seven n eight. I don't think I'll be able to write or understand much now. Bas much slokas yaad h n shabdarups like noro norou Nora. Our Sanskrit mam used to make students stand up by pulling their sideburns and as punishment😭girls school me bahut torture krt h

see unofficially English and Hindi are the national languages of India, a Marathi will speak with a Tamil in broken Hindi/english only, a Bengali will speak with a Marwari in broken Hindi/English only, a Nagamese will speak with a Gujurati in broken hindi/english only.

So log chutiya ban rahe hai, they may show disinterest against Hindi/English, but deep down they know these two are necessary. The issue is when you tell people they are Chutiya. Don't tell them to learn Hindi/English, they will just learn it anyways.

You do know the meaning of optional right?

If something is optional, you don't necessarily have to do it.

Also all the South Indian states have different languages, but if ppl choose to learn Hindi, it might help them in most of the North Indian states.

PS-if you or anyone here thinks that those who go down South don't face any discrimination because of language then I don't think you /they have the complete picture. Worked in Vizag and Chennai for a few years. People who actually understand / know what you are trying to convey will pretend not to coz acc to them it's funny bugging a Hindi speaker(especially In Chennai, even if you try broken Tamil). And not just me, a lot of northies are taunted by the locals(fair pigs, pandi etc) rudely spoken to and asked to go back to our "cow shed". Try speaking that "India mein rehke Hindi nahi ati" line in Chennai and soon a crowd will thrash you so bad that even the police will not be able to do anything.

It's just that when all this happens in Mumbai it becomes news, but when it continuously happens in cities like Chennai, and even the educated folks are involved in it then its called preserving their culture.

This one is not just for your comment but for all those who have been showing only one part of the problem(aka some northies saying some sort of rubbish). Their is a disdain from the other side too. It's not all hunky dory as it's presented. Hopefully more smart cities will help people mingle and change their outlook towards each other.

😭I feel u sis.

Ours was coed so my Hindi teacher took me in an empty room to slap . Such a weird old lady she is. 5 years back that school got stuck in a legal mess when a kid got seriously injured. I did a good thing by changing my school in 9th. In my next school too they used to take their sticks out to hit children but it was moderate and no one used to slap.

idk I HV seen many of my parents generation do just fine without knowing Hindi.

Imo it's the u must learn ,Hindi is most important, such statements that angers people. Language, culture etc r personal things n people should just let others be in these topics. Organically people will get assimilated into a lot of things anyway, but if u force them to do it,it causes huge annoyance.

For me, I mostly dislike the attitude some hindispeakers have that if u don't know Hindi u r Indian k Nam pe kalank😆 or that they won't learn your language in your state but u r expected to talk to Hindi in both cases to accommodate them extremely entitled behavior imo.

Anyways Constitution doesn't HV any national language, very perfect decision imo

well every states have a bunch of idiots who have that entitlement, I stay here in Shillong. The people here are like, you stay in Shilong, You don't know Khasi? Go to Assam its same scene. Go to West Bengal, Bengali dominated areas its same, Nepali dominated areas, its same everywhere in India. Every place has such bunch of idiots.

And Hindi isn't exactly.mother tongue of everyone in North India either. Most have different mother tongue.

yep. Discrimination definitely exists in south n all other states too. In bengal there's a bad stereotype about Bihar n up people ki they're not very cultured n educated. On the other hand, recently on a bank exam lots of bihari candidates came to my exam centre bcz east had one centre only n they were badmouthing Bengalis sitting in our state😆to ab Kya bolu. I faced discrimination in maharastra n Gujarat too bcz Bengalis eat nonveg thus r bad people according to some people there. South mein they sometimes don't reply even if they know English. I think if one has just gone to your state for few days, they're obviously not gonna know the language, do try to accommodate if u can language wise for them. Goes for all states, even the Hindi speaking ones.

But then max People r sweet n accommodating imo. In Maharashtra my elder sister's pg uncle was just a sweetheart. Took so much care of her n her friend, when I went to visit he was so welcoming n he gave my dad ride in his cycle to a Faraway fish market cz he knows we love fish even though he's vegetarian.in south most doctors r such sweethearts ,thEy cured my mom n I'll never forget that,n they give u such a courage to deal with the disease shuruse. In Gujarat most people r such sweet happy go lucky people and always ready to share food with you. Biharis r such intelligent people actually ,if u notice max competitive exams r cracked but a high percentage of biharis. In bengal too people would try to accommodate as much as they can. You can just ask any random guy or shipowner anything or anydirection in your language n they'll try their best to help u in whatever broken version of that language they can speak

I never had that problem in North East though tbh. N ne is where I've visited the most in India. But yeah same bunch of idiots r everywhere. I've seen entitled Bengalis who think they're above everyone while they don't even do a work in their own house just always in a adda😆

Yeah but I guess some people see languages like Rajasthani, haryanvi, bhojpuri etc as kind of a Hindi descendant dialect type thing. I don't though
