So Now coming to the question, & before going to others thoughts, let me tell you my case ------

See Di , I live in India. A country where mostly all families consider a Virgin girl To be Necessary requirement.

You said having sex or no sex before marriage is purely Out of choice not a compulsion______

But here it's a very much compulsion .

In these so called, narrow minded socities & families, this is being instilled in our minds right from childhood that your virginity is the most important thing than anything else. You don't believe it but it's true , that some parent's even says that to their daughters , not to their Son's at all ...... die, if you lose your virginity before marriage or those monster parents kill their daughters with their own hands.

Such horrifying incidents occurs in many parts , especially in India.

& The same thing is not applicable to Men's. In our society , a man can sleep with multiple women , enjoys sexual pleasure before marriage & it's all ok. No one is going to raise a finger on him , asking him why you lose your virginity before marriage. No one , not at all. For them , men can do it & it's all fine , they glorify it but if the same a girl do , leave the outsiders , her family , her own parents will disregard her !

That's the double pathetic mindset of brown families which is downright horrible & wrong..

While I don't believe nor endorses this pathetic mentality. Having sex before or after marriage is purely based on one's consent. Judging a person on his/her virginity status is the most wrong way to judge. This is outright wrong & really needs to change today !!

But there are also some persons, who don't want to do it with anyone. Including me too. & It's not only about that we want to save ourselves for the special someone. No it's not entirely that.

It's also because, the surrounding we came, to an extent it's been instilled in us & also the Thoughts we hold as a person.

If I talk about my thinking , then I believe that sex/lovemaking isn't only an act of sexual pleasure. It's more than that. It is an deep connection of two people's heart & mind. I often wonder this that how could someone so easily do it with anyone ?

NO OFFENCE TO ANYONE ! We all are different so our thinking is also different , given that.

It's just what I think . For me , if I don't feel any sort of emotional attachment with the other , how could I do it ? I believe & consider , that Emotional attachment is must needed & necessary as well before proceeding the physical intimacy. I prefer to die without doing it than with someone where's there's no kind of emotional attachment !

The question you asked N di is very intriguing & it presents various Thoughts & perceptions as we are all different & so our thoughts as well.

But ........ The most important thing we should ALL remember that -RESPECT each other's Thoughts & LIVE & LET LIVE !

Yes, I have heard of honour killings and its gory, tbh. But that's how things work in places and we cant do anything to change it, even if we want to.

I'm so glad Khushi did what I wanted to with Aman. She showed him his places. That's more than enough. A small yet much required victory! Urgh. He's such a jerk. Works from here to there and adds fire to the ghee. Such a telltale!

Also, for a second, I thought he was better than Payal. At least he showed fake concern. I understand where Payal comes from and why she detests her family, but, if she truly loved Arnav and sought his well-being, she wouldn't blindly agree to his crazy doings.

Now , apart from this, the chapter confused me. I thought Mr. Kapoor patched up with Priya after Arti's death. Here Arnav says Arti used to cry when she saw Kapoor getting back with Priya. Did I get the timeline wrong previously?

Also, Khushi-Arnav conversation was the only positive thing. Glad they are at least being civil to each and other and having decent conversations that a couple do. But, he's still not made a place for himself in her heart completely which is not surprising. She still feels he's a wrong choice for her. It will definitely take a lot of time to change that fact!

Another doubt. Arnav keeps saying they threw him out, but, here in BOD meeting, he voluntarily opts out even though others aren't okay with it. So why act all mighty there and then cry later on?

When will he repent for his decision? Shyam can go to hell!

Let me bring some things to light.

1. Aman is not a telltale. Not for Arnav, at least. Khushi is still evaluating him

2. Manohar as EC said, went to Priya when she was pregnant and Aarti was in love but left behind. He only married Aarti after Payal's birth.

3. Arnav refers to the time when he was 20, not 28, which he was during the BOD meeting.

Is all well with Arhi equation ??

Payals pov on the news and her reaction shows her thinking to some extent… but she supports arnav against her family … she is right its about egos now… and more than arnav v/s manohar its going to be akash v/s arnav now..
Arnav’s last statement gave me goosebumps… but khushi deciding not to trust her mentor blindly and support arnav when need be gave me some positivity for arnav-khushi
This built up before the final showdown is very intriguing .. so many things and relationships are going to change some for better and some for worse… 5 more chapters before chap 20… cant wait for more

You are right, Arnav is s selfless man for the people he loves, but Khushi is yet to witness and absorb that. Alas, it might be too late before she realises that.
And there is light at the end of every tunnel, because it takes us to hit the low, to unravel our strengths.
Btw, do you listen to FM/ Radio? If yes, which channels?
