Although I do feel like other films much more deserve to be in the running for Oscar than Gully Boy, but I just can't with these egoistical and arrogant directors like Vivek. Those who are really great like Nolan, Bong Joon Hoon, Park Chan Wook, Kore-eda, Scorsese....you will never hear them talk about themselves. They just let their work do the talking. Park's film was not sent to the Oscars even with raving reviews both from critics and public because he criticised the former S.Korea President and yet when people asked him about it, he never went on ranting he deserved so and so. He just gracefully congratulate the other director whose film was sent to the Oscar. And that too after his film The Handmaiden enter top three of almost every critics list of great films in 2016.

I agree. But its OK, we can send The Kashmir Files next year.
