Trial period and Parenting Styles

So if I'm getting this right.....Daadu Beeji will be staying in the haveli as a temporary arrangement while Irfan and co. are still at NB's house.....Trial period pe aaye hain to exorcise some other set of ghosts for Babita😆.....whenever that finishes up, they will likely go back to NB's house.

There was a slight disconnect between yesterday's NB scene with her son wherein she was bitter about him trying to sell the house and today's scene where she was all relaxed and just chilling in the house.....dunno if these scenes were shot out of order😆....

Babita seems to have expected HS to fall in line with her decision by default....he's just sitting there trying to figure out why she's happy about a set of earrings and she's like..."Chalein"? 😆....what's missing in their scenes these days is the connection between showing how a decision is reached in a mutual fashion rather than just showing us the end product.....that "mutuality" (if that is a word) is missing right now.

The actual apology scene between Babita and the grandparents went more or less as expected. Try as she might, Babita is never fully going to become some full on liberal minded woman....at her core, she will always be an immensely traditional and homely woman.....she has moments of rebellion like when she decided to go back to the haveli during the wedding rasams....but these are just moments....her overall mindset isn't going to change....some things are ingrained too deeply.

So a traditional, homely woman would reconcile exactly as Babita did in that scene....saying they are like her maa-baap, that she wants to be their daughter, wants to do their seva....lol she has a masochistic relationship with seva bhaav.....karna bhi hai aur resent bhi karna hai if reward na mile seva ke liye.....lol jokes apart.....it was typical Babita....trying to take the blame on herself and guilt trip.....I was thankful Beeji atleast made one token statement about how they also let her down in some ways....isse zyada inse ab kya expect karein😆

I found the Daadu-Beeji convo before this scene noteworthy.....all the discussion about moh and shedding baggage felt pertinent.....Beeji clearly clings on to moh a lot more than Daadu....he's still more practical about life than her.....their kids have abandoned them, he's accepted this....but she isn't fully able to.....she still can't let go of the attachment to her children....and that is her Achilles heel that makes her selfish and paranoid in many ways....like her paranoia about the "what ifs" of this new family that Babita and Mini have formed with HS.....she likes HS...but she only really trusts her own flesh and blood at the end of the day....lol typical.

By that logic, everything is precarious in life....guarantee toh asli maa baap ki bhi nahin hai.....khud ki haalat hi dekh lo, Beeji....lol your own blood related son has abandoned you. But somehow, it is the "stepfather" you are more worried about......it is now that you expect Babita the wife to let down Babita the mother.....lol....

Chalo phir sab sort out ho gaya....for now.....lol Mini ne diary entry bhi kar li....we weren't shown how the argument was resolved between her and Babita.....everything normalized the moment the grandparents came home......and everyone jumped to playing carom😆

Moment of the epi though for me was the set of looks exchanged by all parties when Preet said that HB ki LOWE marriage hui hai🤣......Daadi's eyes bugged out....hahahahaha.....oh this is gonna be a hilarious set of convos whenever she asks Babita about this.....and Babita will likely try to again pretend she only re-married for Mini.....LOL

The last scene ended a bit abruptly but I liked it cuz for once there seemed to be a hint of a parenting style discussion between HB.....Babita talking about how kids toh try to melt you with tears but you gotta stand firm with them (btw look who's talking about trying to get your way with tears....irony alert😆).....and HS being like, I just wanted Mini to relax toh main maan gaya.....lol who is this guy and what has he done with our strict Thaanedaar? :P

So coming up looks like multiple clashes for the trio again.....Mini-Babita will clash over this Micky issue and Babita trying to be strict with her jawaan beti.....HS-Babita may clash over parenting styles and approaching this situation with Mini.

If today's reaction over "love" marriage is anything to go by, it's fully possible they will draw parallels between Micky and HS and their respective approaches to friendship and 'love'....lol

Meanwhile, Daadu-Beeji in the mix should supply ammo for other fireworks in the haveli during this "trial period"😆

Jokes apart even I was kinda uhmmm about him melting so fast caz chori ki bedt friend ke ansoo nahi dekh gaye. Oh Thanedaar ji *sigh* aisa nahi chalega na. Though i get where he melted too it was the look exchange with his chori but honey plz voice your thoughts then do what you wish and what you like i hate this yes no wala mono syllables wale thak to conclusions and it indeed was very abrupt move. Also with babita too i totally agree with you the problem is the journey to reach conclusion in matters is missing and in that the show is losing its essence. Pehle issue ko itna drag karte hain and then no proper solutions.

I did find babita's argument valid about parenting style but HS is not wrong either because yeah despite everything dekha bhalla ladka hai and he has stood by them multiple times toh itna toh kar hi sakte hain though i found preet ki care rather embarrassing today it was a bit OTT and mickey was rightly embarrassed but chalo let's see ab kahan jaate hain

Hahah word about NB chilling cooly was funny and how easily she agreed to send the buzurg party i thought she would resist a bit more but chalo and yes that baggage scene was indeed thought proviking

Shaadi ke baad Hs na Bahut hi melt down ho Gaya 🤔 we r looking at new Hs now.

Preet has always been OTT.....lol and the weirdest scene for me today was the opening scene of the friends.....Mini bhi OTT ho rahi thi us scene mein with the way she was getting hyper about Daadu-Beeji.....thoda contrived scene lagaa just to show her suddenly crying about old age home....actually in that scene, she was giving me Babita deja vu😆.....aise toh usually Babita karti hai.....suddenly hyper hoke kya kya soch lena, phir rone bhi lag padna😕😆.....I'm surprised Micky didn't point out that she was acting like her Babes there....lol

Dharamshala mode bol la ya bhara pura ghar bol lo.....lol ab HS ke ghar mein raunak hi raunak hogi....never a dull moment😆.

And yes, even I felt Babita had a valid point about parenting.....although I was amused to see her making it without realizing how she herself expects her tears to melt people many times.....HS himself melts in front of her tears too.....lol then she doesn't mind. But chalo, Maa hai toh obviously she will think differently when it applies to her daughter rather than herself.

She's a conservative woman so I'm not surprised that she is uncomfortable about Micky staying overnight....upar se she is hyper protective about Mini anyways.....toh her reaction was in character to me.

HS has faith in Micky but I wonder how he will react whenever he finds out that Micky actually likes Mini....lol

NB agreed probably only cuz HS and Babita insisted and she could see that Babita needed the emotional reconciliation......abhi Irfan ka chapter is pending.....this will all likely end in NB saying she wants to stay in her house on her terms.

Daadu-Beeji ko isliye park kiya hai haveli mein so that they actually get to see the dynamics b/w HB and HS-Mini firsthand rather than base it on one incident from the wedding......yeah thoda bahut drama hoga but it will likely end in them learning to have more faith in these relationships.

And honestly HB need to be confronted by some things in order to actually work through them.....warna inka toh chai pakode, coffee mein hi nikal jaayega without any real meaningful conversations.

I suspect the grandparents as well as Micky are all there to provide that catalyst for other issues to emerge and be worked through. HS ka parenting approach, how he thinks as a father will be tackled.

As Mini said again.....mann ki gaanthein lagta hai ki bahut uljhi hain.....but sulajhne ko ek hi moment mein sulajh bhi jaati hain aur sab relax ho jaate hain.

But yeah, ab kaafi bheed jamaa ho gayi hai haveli mein.....toh HS ko kahin mute pe na daal dein in all this mela....lol I would like to see more of our sensible, wise Thanedaar asserting himself rather than just getting tossed around between the different characters.

LOL he has become like a supportive husband hovering in the background....he doesn't assert himself as much....mostly gives in to whatever mother or daughter ask him.

Dunno if this is a permanent change or a temporary one.

I noticed the disconnection among scenes when HS changed his nightwear but have no complaints as he looked super hot in grey.
