Yes, they get paid....in an interview she was telling to the interviewer "that's why I asked you to be careful with the questions until I get paid"....they also have to respect the agreement...but someone like Kasturi could stand and say i'm not coming....the fact she is not doing it say something about her kural for needhi.

This is how they script the show...the contestants do not act as per a script....but the crew plan activities to provoke what they want out of the contestants.
