The problem is both the women (Sherin and Abhi) made it seem like it’s their right to love the other person one sided and they guys are wrong for keeping on clarifying they don’t feel the same way. Also both of the women created a scene (one even went to suicidal point) when Tharshan/Mugen didn’t acknowledge them the say way they felt. So perhaps the guys felt obliged to be kind to them as well. Some of those factors could have gone out in the editing...

In season 1 we clearly witnessed some contestants advising Aarav not to cut out Oviya and be close with her even if he doesn’t feel the same way. It could have very well happened here too. Losliya liked Kavin from the beginning and returned his attention towards her. The same is not true for Tharshan and Mugen so I don’t think it’s fair to compare the situations.

correct ma..but as bryan rose pointed very correctly, when tharsh can turn down meera, kavin against abi , shouldnt mugin n tharsh act the same with abi n sherin???..that shows if they like a girl, they enjoy flirting with her keeping aside their love n gf outside...

Is that a way of showcasing their machoism???

Can women do the same??

Namma cultureku sri raamangal thaanpa setaagum....

Our brains are tuned that way..

Blaming sherin for tharsh eviction seems silly. Sorry guys...Abi damaged mugen and also kavin damaged to maximum los and they are both in finals blaming sherin for tharsh exit seems unfair they did have something something but also they both had their own game

While in the first case Abhi/Meera spoke directly about marriage and speaking to parents etc, in the latter case they said love and nothing else. So then it’s awkward to say “stop liking even one sided”. It’s easy to turn down a marriage proposal though. Based on Sherin’s whining to Vanitha (before the big “affair” fight) at various points Tharshan kept saying to the camera “this is just for fun, I don’t mean to flirt with Sherin really”. I feel it’s more of a man versus woman thing. While taken women would clearly clarify they are not available, men play it more carefully not to come across as insensitive. Even Mahath and Aarav were blamed by contestants in the house for outright rejecting the women, so there is some sensitivity to this.

What I don’t understand is what a low self esteem these women should have to throw themselves at men who reject them, and then demand that the men continue to pay attention to them because of the affection the women have. I am referring to first season Oviya too (no brickbats please). Imagine if any of the men chose to go behind a committed woman on the show despite being told they are taken.

yes pa i pity them ..no self respect, but in sherins case its more of her strategy

But personally I doubt they would make her winner even if she leads. Romba controversy aagum especially after public knows Madhu/Sherin fight was for Kaveri issue. Already Kamal-a kaluvi oothuraanga regional politicians that he has no guts.

Appadi paartha then making sandy as winner might be the correct one . But Sherin will not win, her becoming a finalist is still a mystery.

People always like to root for underdogs and they like charismatic villains (ex Rajni, satya Raj, sarah Kumar). they can relate with someone with faults than a clean image person, They are like dolls and we couldn’t connect with them . Whereas people who make mistakes seem like real people whom we can connect with mentally. We accept them with their flaws and root for them genuinely.

In short , thappu panravan manusan , thappae pannadavan kadavul 😊
