When i was little i sensed my parents were a little worried about my reclusive nature .. So, my dad used to give me lectures on how human beings are social animals .. I used to love watching travel n living / Discovery / National Geograhic / Animal planet channels .. Whenever a documentary on elephants came up , my dad used to point it out to make me understand in my own language , elephants are highly social beings and humans are a lot like elephants .. But irony is , right after that , i saw documentary on bears and how much of solitary creatures bears are .. and i identified myself more with bears than elephants .. 😆
@ Blue : Ditto ! ⭐️
My parents are still worried about me.😆
That's true, people aren't all the same just like animals. We all have different needs & values. Personally, I feel the most alone when I'm in a crowd. Socialising just saps all my energy which I then have to recharge by spending time with myself. Fortunately, I am able to put on an amiable facade with people. Somehow I hate the noise coming from all different directions in crowded situations too, And I hate having to fill in silence with trivial, empty words. What's so 'awkward' about silence?😕
Anyways, ditto on the travel, animals & nature point. I have a soft spot for (natural) beauty also. I even jokingly told my parents I want to join a Buddhist monastery.🤣
I would do it...but I have to give up on delicious food which is impossible.
