Mini got her anxiety and stress during Ashok’s arrest in drug peddling. Subsequent arrests of Ashok bothered Mini. She was ashamed of her biological father. It hurt her that this was how her father was.

Babita sent Ashok away for Mini. Even if he wasn’t a role model for Mini, at least Mini didn’t have to feel ashamed coz of her dad.

And why should Babita think about Khuranas at this point? If Ashok felt responsible for his parents, he would have returned the tickets and told her I won’t go. I will stay and take care of my parents. But he didn’t. He ran away and didn’t even look back once. Truth is neither lovely nor Ashok cares for senior Khuranas.

I also think seeing her grandparents worry about not having a home in this old age heightened her own insecurities about not having a home.

Babita was indeed happy but then she saw that even after so much, the oldies do not have the power to stop their daughter from spewing venom. And when Babita stopped Lovely, Biji tried to stop her and that's when Babita lost it completely..

@bold - Exactly. Babita did it for Mini. She didn’t put a gun on Ashok’s head. Bhag gaya on first chance without ever looking back to his parents.

If anything, by giving that ticket to London, Babita saved Ashok’s life. She gave him another chance at life otherwise sadta rehta jail mein.

@green - again. Exactly. She was happy for Mini coz Mini was happy having her grandparents around. But after what Lovely did and Biji siding with Lovely, Babita’s last of patience gave up. And why not? They deserve every bit of lashing out that Babita did on her wedding day. They so deserve it. And lovely to deserve ek jor ka laafa.
