Excited about working with Ranbir and Sanjay Dutt, Vaani couldn’t contain herself when questioned about Shamshera. Speaking about Dutt, she says, “Sanjay sir is adorable. He is like a little child. He is super sweet, and very nice and kind hearted. He is very soft as a human being. With the big exterior and tiny little soft heart.”
She is equally impressed with Ranbir Kapoor who is playing a dacoit in the film. Talking about him, she said, “Ranbir is someone who I absolutely love watching on screen as an audience. I feel like today when I am working with him he is such a normal guy with so much normalcy. There is no baggage of “oh I am Ranbir Kapoor, I am the star. I have done this and that film.” No diva behavior nothing. Very normal, regular and it just makes my life a lot more easier as a co-actor. I don’t have to focus on anything else, but the fact that I am here to act.”
Shamshera is about a dacoit tribe set in the 1800s, who are in a fight for their rights and independence against the British. The film is set to release on 31st July 2020. Rumour also has it that Ranbir Kapoor might play a double role in the film
