Part4: Abir's promise - Mishbir's bond
Thankyou all for waiting patiently. This is indeed a very special topic and can be talked about for endless amount of time. This particular comparison and parallel is going to be short and sweet just like our beloved and adorable mishti😉
Abir’s promise in ep 80 was very small and simple – he ensures he will bring his mother to the Mah house in order to fix Kuku’s rishta. He stood a firm stance with full determination in front of BP to say – [“ye mera vadha hai aapse”]
That’s it, that’s all that was required, short, simple and direct to the point. Once again, as mentioned in the previous parts as well, Abir again took the leadership and responsibility to convince Meenakshi for Kunal and Kuhu’s rishta. Note even Nanu steps up to the game. And as expected Kunal has his mouth zipped shut, as he is a robot under his mother’s manipulation game. He makes no confirmation of any efforts on his behalf, to ensure that this rishta is secured, obviously because his intentions are merely revolving around his animosity for Mishti and possessiveness for Abir. Abir fortunately yet also unfortunately tends to overcompensate for Kunal, although it is out of his genuine care and affection for his Nanko, Abir unintentionally forgets that Kunal needs to step out of Abir’s shelter and take up responsibility for his actions.
On the contrary in ep 136 – Abir’s promises are very deep, meaningful, wholesome and frankly PERFECT! And the best thing is, despite all the profound statements he makes in regards to love, parenting, society and relationships he still manages to keep his words so simple, straightforward and right from the bottom of his pure heart. No wonder BP and BM adore him, but more importantly respect and trust him so dearly.
I feel like I can’t pick and select quotes and dialogues from Abir’s heart-warming monologue - > each and every word and each line were just so noteworthy and poignant, that it would unfair to just select 1 or 2 (honestly, it’s just too hard to choose)🤔
Although Abir accepts he cannot make [“ameer aur mehlon”] promises, hepromises to always try to keep Mishti happy by showering her withsoo much love that she’ll finally [“ziddh karna seekh jayegi, chote jagde karnebhi seekh jayegi”]
Uff what more could BP, BM or even Mishti dream for? Forget the materialistic richness and wealth, Abir’s heart and love is utterly invaluable and priceless. The phrase “a heart of gold” feels insufficient to describe Abir’s existence.
I know there have been extensive amount of discussions and compliments on the beauty, simplicity and strength of our mishbir’s relationship. And I completely agree 1000% percent with all of them, so I don’t want to repeat and bore you all with the same words. Thus, the following is just a small, short summary of this not only inspirational couple, but most importantly gem of human beings
The true asset and beauty of Mishti and Abir’s relationship lies in their first connection and bond as friendship. The fact that they understand and support each other to such a deep and emotional level, extends from theirinitial phase of being significant best friends. And this is exactly what the writers and the whole yrhpk team aims to convey to the audience, that relationships and crucial decisions like marriage are to be made on the basis of individual compatibility and comfort. Comfort. This is probably, one of Abir and Mishti’s finest qualities. Their ability to converse with such ease about their deepest feelings even just as friends, allows their transition in becoming life partners/soulmates, that little bit smoother. It builds immense strength in their bond to overcome the largest and most difficult hurdles/challenges that life will throw at them. Abir very quickly, not only became Mishti’s friend, but mentor and motivator during Mishti’s moments of crisis and distress,he was her constant solid pillar who stood by her. And now finally in the current track, we are starting to see the roles reversed as Mishti firmly supports, encourages and guides Abir through his emotional turmoil. They are just pure bliss.
I can probably go on and on. But I think this is a pleasant place to end. Forgive me for the lack of proper comparisons with this segment, I guess when it came to Abir and Mishti, the two episodes were situated during two distinct stages of their journey. We still have lots to see in their beautiful journey, and I can’t wait to watch it all unfold with all you lovely people.🤗 Looking forward to discuss and share everything that is yet to occur, with this special fandom xx❤️
P.S I keep wondering...given Mishti and Abir's unwavering trust, faith and support, will they ever get into conflicts like normal couples? They are certainly one of the most realistic characters and bonds we see on ITV, but seeing their precious and strong relationship makes me think what could possibly crack their belief in one another? It just seems so far-fetched, they could never have misunderstandings. There is a tiny part of me that wants to see them overcome any conflict or fight, to further strengthen their relationship.
Okay, that's all. 😊
