Can War beat the opening of Thugs of Hindostan?

Can War opening be the biggest movie opening of all time in Bollywood beating Thugs of Hindustan opening (i.e, 48 Crores)?

Is Hrithik + Tiger (one superstar and one star in his form) + Action + Gandhi Jayanti > Aamir + Amitabh + Katrina (One Superstar, One yesteryear superstar and one star not in her form) + Action + Diwali?

I think there's an outside chance but still it most likely can't.

It should easily comfortably beat the lifetime and maybe even double it. But opening I don’t think so

Opening jaisa bhi ho as long as War doesn't compete with Thugs for the same ending it should be fine 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Stardom wise Aamir+Big B >>>>> HR+Tiger...

Other than that, TOH came solo while War is clashing with another biggie Sye Ra...So number of screen count etc will also have to be considered....

All said and done, no there is not even an outside chance!

Hrithik has created opening day record numerous times in his career, so it wont be shocking if it does 50cr on 2nd OCT

The single screen audience will turn up for sure in huge numbers but hope the Plex audience doesn't run away seeing Tiger

They have started the promotions soo late...i mean theres just 1 week left!...

wid only 2 songs release...and HR & tiger not even promoting together 🙄☹️

I only hope now it croses 40+ cr on opening day

there are only two songs in the film so? haha or maybe three lol

the songs for a film like this has only added to the buzz.. they seem weirdly confident of the film so maybe that's why they are not going for an overdrive promotion.

The day after Diwali is the most lucrative day to release a movie in India. Thugs released on that and broke the opening record of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that also released on the day after Diwali.

It will be tough for War to cross 50 crores of Thugs. It needs a bumper opening. Endgame, Bharat, and Saaho are the only movies that opened to a bumper response this year.

I think HR's massy starpower and Tiger's chota-mota star power will ensure a bumper opening. But 50 crores? It needs to have insane occupancy.

I'm thinking it might do 40-45 crores.
