First Weekend: Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas - Prassthanam - The Zoya Factor

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, Prassthanam and The Zoya Factor all fared very poorly over the first weekend. The collections were low and there was no real growth over the weekend. Pal Pal Dil ke Pass was the best of the lot but its weekend collections were just over 4.50 crore nett. The film had to double on Saturday which may have given the film ha chance of some sort of run at the box office but it showed growth of just 30% which is nothing for a film that opens so low. Sunday could not show much growth either.

Prassthanam collected a little under 3 crore nett and these figures are well short of films like Policgiri, Zilla Ghaziabad and Bhhomi which are recent Sanjay Dutt films in the same zone. The film had some growth on Sunday but from such low figures it is irrelevant.

The Zoya Factor was the worst of the low with business of 2.25 crore nett plus and even though it was a film for metro multiplexes only it did not show growth and on Sunday the film was flat. The collections of the three new releases are as follows.

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas dropped 45% on Monday as it collected a very poor 65 lakhs nett. The film is still best of the new releases but that is hardly a prize. The film is heading for a first week of 7 crore nett and will probably not be in many cinemas in the second week. Betaab the launch film of Sunny Deol was a huge blockbuster and this film is likely to have lower lifetime collections than that film released 36 years ago as it collected 9.35 crore nett and that number seems tough to reach for Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. Prassthanam had the lowest fall of all the new releases on Monday as it higher ratio of business coming from single screens and most of these dont have a price drop on Monday. The film collect around 50 lakhs nett on Monday which is still ver poor and the week will finish at around 3.75 crore nett.

The Zoya Factor broke records on Monday but the sort of records that no one wants. The film has been rejected like very few before as the film collected 15 lakhs nett on Monday. The drop was an insane 75% from Friday and that too from a ridiculously low level. The film will not even collect 3 crore nett in the first week. The collections of The Zoya Factor are as possible.

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas had a poor first week collecting a little under 7 crore nett. The collections are very dull with the only plus being it managed to beat the competition but that competition was super weak putting it kindly. There are no real releases this week but the film has been rejected which means it will hardly have any collections in week two. The collections of Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas are as follows
