This Daughter’s Day, Nishant Malkani, aka AJ of Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, crushes old beliefs about women and daughters with a special message.

On Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, AJ has always been a person to respect women. He has a rule that no woman will be disrespected in his house. He even stood up for his bahu Lakshmi after she comes from from a party late and was scolded by Daadi and Shanti Bua. While he doesn’t have a daughter with his second wife Guddan, the real-life AJ, Nishant Malkani would love having a daughter.
On the show, AJ is quickly turning into a sort of villain. In a recent episode, he is seen shooting Guddan and throwing her off a cliff. Watch this drastic change in his character from the episode here.
Here’s a few of the old proverbs that create discrimination between sons and daughters like ‘Beti parayi dhan hoti hai‘ and ‘Ladke budhape ka sahara hote hai‘. Nishant Malkani suggests that we should move past these false notions. He believes that a daughter is a priceless wealth and not parayi dhan in any way.
He even says that just like sons, daughters also have an equal set of responsibilities to her family. He believes that daughters should also help in supporting parents in their old age since they raised the daughters for so many years as well. He agrees with the idea that men and women are equals.
In addition, he says even though he is not married yet, whenever he eventually gets married and has a kid, he would love to have a daughter. His Daughter’s Day wish to his fan is to treat their daughters, sisters, mothers or any woman in their life like they are precious gems.
