Anurag had a cushioned and secure life, socially and economically, hence he is privileged. It is easy to be good, when life is good to you. Example is anu himself, when circumstances turned against him in the slightest and he lost prerna, he started changing for the worse, losing his reason, being suicidal etc.
Now, Bajaj we dont know what exactly his past is, but it is indicated that it was a bad one, lost his mother at a young age etc. His actions at present cannot be justified, but empathized. He had to become ruthless, coz the world was ruthless to him. Whatever happened in his past has damaged him to such an extend, that he cannot be a normal, loving, good human being. Infact, he is scared of being nice. But prernas niceness, is softening him and making him act nice. Ofcourse, he has to take full responsibility of his actions, that is his cross to bear. But he cant help envy anurag, who has everything he covets. Bajaj thinks anu is extremely lucky, and wishes he had what anu has. Maybe he always craved for these things, for love. And here is a man anurag, who gets it so effortlessly.
