Loll, no one apart from us that is. Only we're that invested in HS and everything related to him. I mean, we went as far as creating a blueprint for his Haveli. Do I need to say more? 😆

I mean, if I had married a man like that, I would not be able to stay even a second away from him, no matter how shy I felt. ☺️

Dude she is vishwamitra ka avatar ..

Also, the look in his eyes when he realized that Babita had stayed upstairs all night even if Minnie had been asleep, away from him.

This was just >.<

I get rattled when a child goes through trauma .. and imagining him sleeping like that on that charpayu in front of the room makes him look like this kid who was listening to his mother being beaten brutally and him waiting for that door to open ..

Symbolically speaking he is still waiting for that door to open and embrace his mother (memories) and rescue her from that pain ..

Uff .. raute khade ho Kate hai

The only thing that played in head was this line of the song

Toota.. taara sa
Chota sa, taara sa..toota re..
Poochhe woh dekhun teri baari
Kyun na soye, kyun tu roye

But it's true and it makes the treatment of his character all the more devastating. Despite all his traumas, he found ways to be positive and optimistic. And when he finally wants to revisit those painful memories so that they don't sting him anymore, he's being shut down brutally.

Babita didn't give two fcks that he tried to talk about his mom. She said whatever the hell she wanted and then left. You want to talk about your dead mother? Yeah, I don't care. I'm leaving to be with my daughter. You know, the one person whom I prioritize even you?

FCCKCKKKKKKK!!!

I'm starting to hate this woman now.

I would love for Minnie to suggest that he go to therapy as well. If he says it's good for her overall mental health, then the same thing applies to him.

As much as I want to say Babes knows her own daughter, there are quite a few ways in which she doesn't. This is why I really appreciated HS being there for Minnie. He was always there when she broke down and helped her to get back up. The difference was that in those times, Minnie made her hurt and pain vocal. But because of this whole wedding, she kept quiet and a result neither mother or father were able to pick up on it.

We were joking about this, but that charpayi has been his one true companion whenever he has been alone. Whether it's after his mother's death, or Imarti's, it's been there to give him a little refuge. The machardani, yes it's there to keep out all the mosquitoes, but it also keeps out the world. No one else is allowed in that little corner except him and that's where the real HS lies. With all his lonely thoughts, tears and trauma.

I also think he needs to go to therapy and I am sure it would do him a lot of good. There's too much angst in him for his family and friends to help him sort out. Some of the pain will always remain, but over time at least he can learn to deal with it. It's all fine to have Minnie be the sunshine in his life, but he needs to get rid of some that darkness of tragedy in his mind and heart permanently. It would be nice to see the CVs show a male lead admitting he needs help and going for counseling without taking anything away from his ability to be a great father, son, husband, brother, role model, and all-round excellent cop.

Word...about the charpaayi. I couldn't have put it better. There's so much symbolism in the screenplay that even if I am so mad about the way the last couple of episodes went, I can't help admiring the level of creativity.

One more thing, your writing and analysis, especially this past week has been even more spectacular than it has always been. I am super impressed by the points you are bringing. Don't know if you are spurred on by HS' angst but whatever it is, I'm loving it. 🤗

THIS... crux of the problem. Mother-daughter say they are best friends and understand each other but there's a big communication gap between them too.

Beech mein HS ho raha hai halaal. Who the heck is going to hold him close when he loses it about his mother/father/childhood trauma? Right now I am not sure if even NB can handle him then. I don't want Minnie to see him in that state, but looking at the CVs' need to make her the center of everything, she might get involved. Not nice for her to see all that.

Yes, Aniruddh, without words he's just killing every scene. Seriously, that look in the mirror, and later the way he longingly looks at his daughter and wants her to say something, himself wanting to say something but refraining because he's afraid and then looks away. OMG it was brilliant.

At the moment, no one's going to hold him and that's the heart breaking part. Remember how he broke down and fell at his Bapu's feet? He didn't even cry openly then because they started to mourn Imarti. That break down was just a glimpse of all the pain he's actually holding inside.

I don't want Minnie to be a witness to this either. It's not something she should have to see or handle. But unfortunately, I don't see Babes stepping up to the task either.

My eyes are on the constant lookout for him these days. Even when he's not there, he's there. Do you know what I mean? Like, his presence is just that powerful that when he's gone, you can still understand everything.
